Unfortunately, there were some unexpected last minute issues that forced a delay in the release. I hope they will still be launched this week, though.dangayle wrote:Good find! This should be interesting to demo.Vortifex wrote:So Arturia, huh? https://www.gearnews.com/arturia-cookin ... g-release/
But now that the secret is no secret anymore, I think I can already speak about them

I think they sound great (but I am biased, since I was so deeply involved).tappert wrote:So what do you think about these new preamps?fmr wrote:dangayle wrote: But now that the secret is no secret anymore, I think I can already speak about them
I also don't have any UAD hardware, therefore, I cannot compare them to the UAD ones, which are reportedly the reference quoted by many). But UAD based always have that strong handicap of having to reside in the DSP, which means that, as soon as you run out of DSP power, you can no longer load anything else. The Arturia preamps are relatively light on the CPU, yet they sound really good to me.
They all add a strong coloration, which is different from one to the other. I enjoyed the Neve a lot, but then I became more and more addicted to the V76, which is perhaps my favorite now. The EQ is just a sweeten addition, but the vacuum tube saturation is really great. And I could drive it really hard.

199 EUR. ummm... okay. i mean, i'm sure they're awesome, but this is way out of my comfort zone, so i'll pass.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

And I thought I was the only one! How something this incorrect can end up in a finished product is beyond me.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:I look forward to hearing more about the perspective of the knobs.![]()
