I did that with the latest FL Studio recently and thought the same thing about it, so I don't know how you can get your head around that daw and not with a very intuitive and accessible sampler like Grace.johnnyfeelgood wrote:
I'm so confused. I downloaded Grace and it just left me confused as hell.
Well i canjohnnyfeelgood wrote:VariKusBrainZ wrote:It can be done in basic version of Fruityinkwarp wrote:i thought the OP asked for something that was free?
no, it really can't
you can slice things, but you can't make it so it decays really naturally (like over a second or two).
It's ok for slicing things that have a clear beginning or end,
but it's really not okay for things that are more natural that are sort of mixed together
Your best bet is TX16WX. Its free. It Slices. It handles Soundfonts like the Orion Sampler. Multiple Outputs. Flexible. DOes the GUI leave much to be desired? Yes. But it works & the free version is great.johnnyfeelgood wrote:Let's see.... I have ZERO dollars to spend on a sampler.Distorted Horizon wrote:It is simple to use.

Is it already mentioned that Tx16Wx is one hellofa sampler? And it's free.Saukar30 wrote:Your best bet is TX16WX. Its free. It Slices. It handles Soundfonts like the Orion Sampler. Multiple Outputs. You can manage this in FL. You have several options for crossfades in the sampler window, you can edit and slice in Edison or SliceX ( one of the best slicers out there imo), there is a full blown sampler called DirectWave - spoiled for choise. Admittedly it is a little around the houses sometimes compared to stuff like Ableton but that's a workflow issue which may not be for everyone. I have a great slicer vst called Liveslice which is amazing although that's not free either..you can slice things, but you can't make it so it decays really naturally (like over a second or two).

It even slices!Touch The Universe wrote:Does it slice?
And it does other things, like leave the GUI much to be desired!Distorted Horizon wrote:viewtopic.php?f=213&t=477418
So is Tx16WX deep enough that its worth getting to know your way around it?Saukar30 wrote: Does the GUI leave much to be desired? Yes.
