Anybody believe in a Kontakt6?

The thread is much funnier for me than most threads which try to be.
I'm not going to adopt Kontakt 6 until I have to, some ultra-compelling library had to take advantage of some new scripting only possible with the new whatchamajigger; and then only when I see there is not some compatibility problem which at the same schwoom makes me look at an OSX version I thought I could avoid until I die.

+1 for this. Even more so as a developer. The header at the top of the instrument needs to go! If you're going to the trouble of building instruments, they might as well let you hide the header as well and make it look more like a VSTiFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote:I'd love if they could 1) streamline the GUI a bit, and 2) make it resizable for version 6. How to streamline the GUI? They could make it slicker looking, and polish up the basic edit mode to more resemble something like Presence XT or Halion with the more advanced options down a little deeper in the GUI. I'm sure just figuring out a workflow makes sense would be a huge effort in and of itself. Then c'mon, make it scale up/down already. That text ain't getting any bigger as my eyes get older.

The header where the user selects outputs, controls volume and panning? Yeah, what a great idea.12bitcrunch wrote:+1 for this. Even more so as a developer. Yeah removing instrument header for good ain't gonna happen, this is where snapshots are, and where you select MIDI input and audio output, and master instrument volume/pan/mute/solo. Just ain't happening.12bitcrunch wrote:+1 for this. Even more so as a developer. The header at the top of the instrument needs to go! However if you load the NKI in Komplete Kontrol, by default it is shown without that instrument header. That's the way it's going to stay.

I mean they could just let you have all that stuff but on a final settings tab or something. Obviously it needs to be there, but could be hidden somewhere. Personally I never use the header for anything, but obvs would be more important with multis etc of course.EvilDragon wrote:Yeah removing instrument header for good ain't gonna happen, this is where snapshots are, and where you select MIDI input and audio output, and master instrument volume/pan/mute/solo.
