This stuff is like all the lyrics from Gun's first album...

Or Marillion post-Fish!

My first attempt made me wet myself...

verse 1
anyone will filter our shell
she shouldn't own a classic light
if she's going to continue
though they didn't design their face
when she's going to trip our sudden death
and somebody will start her sudden yellow value
ignite your chest
dislike anyone's least page

chorus
they won't question everyone's house
somebody couldn't work a hated well
if i'm going to revel
while they didn't catch the smoke
when nobody could measure a low cover
when nobody didn't rattle a magic useless knowledge
break his cloud
bury your magic web

verse 2
she should connect somebody's castle
somebody will see somebody's pretty egg
while he's going to spin
and everyone's going to take someone's person
when somebody didn't drain her useful pattern
while she didn't rock it's dark usual time
say the present
mend somebody's equal sand
Three shall be the number of the counting

And the number of the counting shall be three.

wha? flooding recombinants doesn't deteriorate the system?? next you'll be hypothesising a fluidic constant, and getting used to it! :O

i wonder what it means :)

I'm happy with MY two, even if they're both lefts.

rhyming.. i'd have to set up arrays for handling syllable count and phonemes for each word.. along with sorting, just to rhyme.. i see ~ 1 week of typing.

and that would be super elementary rhyming, eg. 1 vowel last or next to last..

i get the shakes if i spend that much time around computers, and since i do this for other people, having forsaken fascination with technology myself, it is tough to maintain performance for others.

# of feet (funny lm) afa as cadences, as you can see, the current model just uses the same sentence pattern.

i suspect even if someone paid me in advance to do it, it would take me weeks to even begin.

or people could interlace their own rhyming lines ...

I've looked into rhyming before, and its very tricky. There are so many different types of rhymes, it would require numerous algorithms and an extensive dictionary of word pairs. The only way I could see it working is if you can find an existing rhyming dictionary program which also has an API for integration into your own code. And I'm not holding my breath!

Here is an open-source rhyming dictionary algorithm:

You might just call the Win32 command line utility from your program for rhyming purposes...

i don't have the link or name, but somewhere out there, there's a freeware poetry generator.. imo pita cos you have a grid where you have to fill in each box with noun, verb whatever.. you set up the structure, indicate which items to rhyme.. time consuming, imo boring to input sentence formats.

deastman - my intended 'solution' is really old school.. at those last two syllables, the engine would keep producing hypothetical data until it fits, meaning the second in a pair of rhymed words would prolly have lousy "probability.."

prolly mess with some gui progs next so i'm out of it for a while.

Slightly OT, but while we are at random generators -

I wrote a random song generator decades ago when I was exploring the MIDI capabilities of my Atari ST.

It was a GFA BASIC program that would just create a random pattern of notes and then, over time, randomly did slight modifications to that pattern.

It used 4 independent midi channels, and you could set up each channel with some basic properties, like instrument to use, minimum and maximum note duration, min/max octaves to span, etc.

It also had a comprehensive array of chords and harmonics, so that when for example the pads shifted from D to C, the three other tracks shifted their harmonics accordingly.

It produced quite some interesting output. Probably mostly music suitable for relaxation, recreation and stuff like that. But nice. :D (All my friends liked the ouput of that darn program more than the tunes I composed myself... )

I always wanted to do a VSTi version of that idea. Kind of a "tingle-tangle" VSTi that autmatically adds some random melody or accompaniment to your song, maybe based or influenced on the MIDI input it gets.

The idea was, using the existing Vivaldi MX engine and all existing presets and just replacing the GUI with some basic parameters to set up the melody generator properties for each channel... :D

Man, that would be one useless plug-in, wouldn't it?

Best,
Stefan
