No worries
The project is still very young, and I'm sure I'll get Steinberg support at some point. I also could try for a developer license for Spectrasonics. I suggest you regularly check the supported plugins list (usually I put out several updates per month, but the current release takes unfortunately way longer than anticipated
)

By the say "supporting" means that I have actually reverse engineered the format the vendor stores their presets in and written software to convert it. Unfortunately there's no standard apart from the extremely limited VST programs standard, and almost every vendor does it differently, so it's a considerable effort per vendor/plugin.

There are NKS libraries already available for some of these at least - Omnisphere and Keyscape including many addons and Padshop too. Just not Halion but that isn't compatible with Komplete Kontrol on Mac so I was never able to make a template for it (which would be challenging also due to how it uses automation).maax555 wrote: Tue Jan 29, 2019 7:17 pm I think the software looks great, very well set out and presented. However without ability to convert my other two main vendors instrument in Steinberg and Spectrasonics I won't be purchasing this.

Cheers

Is there no one making a new app now for building NKS for VST3 after all these years ? Developers this would be a money maker !!

I think the original developer gave up on it because it was a nightmare to maintain with all those proprietary plugin preset formats, it ended up being bad for their health. I should imagine it would be even harder for VST3 as most VST3 plugins use non standard formats.trusampler wrote: Fri Dec 13, 2024 1:55 pm Is there no one making a new app now for building NKS for VST3 after all these years ? If only more developers made preset names text copy able like Kilohearts do with Phaseplant (and also Dawesome Myth) an easier option would be to use Automator- I can easily export Phaseplant and Myth presets to NKS

Native Instruments should provide a proper service for this.

The way we do it is to build a script in SciTE-Lite that will automate the mouse movements to save in Komplete Kontrol.
You need to be pretty good at scripting though and make a unique/adjusted script for each VST. I have converted 1000's of presets this way. You just start it and let it run for 20min or so and you got a couple of hundred NKS. It is easiest if the VST let you grab the preset name for the VST, typically from the Save As window, sometimes form the preset name window.
Sometimes you need to make a text file with the preset names. I did extract the preset names from Steinberg Retrologue and made it into a text file to read from.
It is a time investment...
