Here are some screenshots
Example1 + audio , osc set to ful volume , resonance full and drive full ,decaying filter envelope .
The result is an attenuated resonance peak because of the drive .
Example 2 +audio , same settings but osc volume reduced , resulting in higher resonance peak .
Spectrum view is 90 degrees rotated ( renoise °
Both cases have no aliasing .

I cannot reproduce the aliasing. I can get aliasing in synth1, for example, or in a sample-based synth. But not in Tal-mod. Are you sure it's coming from tal-mod?
Please upload the preset, I would be interested in it.

I never saved it as a preset. I think I was just experimenting using self oscillation in the filter as another oscillator, an octave up from the main oscillator.

I think I can get that noise, too. Not too difficult, cutoff to around noon, max reso, max keytrack, saturation down to 0, only osc 1 into filter at its nominal 12 o'clock volume, and pitch bend.

Kinda sounds like ring modulation, in a way.
