I don't know how you are making these inferences though, seemingly based solely on the fact that I "barely" consider something that would be OK to broadcast on cable TV to be 'porn'

Well, I wouldn't know of this, but there's this praised Finnish experimental electronic (IDM) musician working under the names Ovuca and Astrobotnia who is linked to porn soundtracks in an amusing way. You see, he got signed to Rephlex on the basis of the porn movies he had done soundtracks to. I mean, this guy sent porn movies as demos! f**king balls.
