Well, it's also that people are just different. I've had to learn the hard way that linear hosts just work best for me. Bitwig, Live, FL are all terrific programs. But even though I try every single new version of FL (hell, I have it for life) I just spend more time trying to figure out how to do things I can already do in Studio One, or Reason.

Not many years ago, hosts were dismal. CPU use, stability, they were all pretty bad. Now I feel that it's the opposite. With all the hosts adding delay compensation, optimizing cpu use and really making a concerted effort to be more stable, the sky's the limit!

Hard to explain, only old school users will understand it. Just wait until Scott will jump here to defend FL, "nothing has changed, we have added so much new features" "FL sells more than ever, we have millions of demo download every day" blaablaa sh*t.. Yeah, like I said, only old school users will understand it.

Anyway, I have already moved on. I don't use FL anymore, mainly because there is no similar time warping what Live and Bitwig has, and some plugins doesn't work on it properly, it's unstable, buggy and CPU hog, even with the latest "improvements". Also it still have problems with PDC and so on.

"It's like an old school friend you don't hear from often, but is sometimes nice to spend a few hours with every few years." that is very well said. That is how I feel about it now. However, I truly miss FL piano roll, it's simply the best on the market.
Not Scott here, but all you say is blablabla...

1.If you are not able to accept a few changes in workflow which were necessary for future updates...well that tells already a lot of you...

2. No need to blame any employee here, who has much more modesty than you...apart of that it is his job and he does it very well

3. It is neither unstable nor buggy nor a CPU hog...in fact the difference between Ableton, Bitwig and FLS is so small that you cannot even measure it properly...

4. Yes, they don´t have pdc for the playlist, modulation and transport synced plugins but this is the main aim for 20.2 to my knowledge... btw...partly the same is true for Ableton and there is no fix planned anytime soon... why don´t you go and blame them...

5. Blame the developers of the plugins which don´t work properly in FLS...
Variable buffer size is part of the VST protocol and up to them to implement that...

In general:

I can understand many complains of the past as GOL was the main developer as he often was a bit difficult to handle and he sometimes did some weird things...
But the new crew has already reached a lot and they are working really hard to bring this app to a whole new level...
Nevertheless this takes some time as we are talking about a huge app with million features...
Some patience would be advisable instead of crying for evey nonsense...
If you like the app... just give them some time...
If you don´t like it... just go your way...
