And check out some of the new filter types (flat-top, higher-order low and high shelving filters) and improved visualization in Equalizer 4.

(and yes, the beta testing group is very cool; you can actually join them on Facebook if you like!)

Thanks SparkySpark!

and just FYI - a first shot at the manual is up for grabs. It may need some more polishing but it does explain the very basics of the shiny new Enhancer!

Got a couple crashes on Reaper 5.973. Insert on master (not that it matters), enable, disable, etc. etc. ... after some time disable enhance, click on some other plug, click on enhancer -- crash. Happened at least twice, and with the same general flow. May or may not be related to disabling it, but clicking away then back while enabled didn't seem to induce it. I'm on Win7 Pro x64 SP1, Nvidia GeForce GTX 760. Will try again with 5.974.
You need to limit that rez, bro.

Got it. I have a few enhancers, they all do the job well, and this is no exception, but now I can easily do it from a multiband angle. Thanks to Berry LaCroix for the initial explanation, and to the creator for the later manual revision - sure, the interface is a little unusual to deal with at first but I took to it well, and now it just feels normal. Good job mate---

ps: To Berry LaCroix: good use of a product name!

Automatic Gain Compensation please :)

Hi Jeroen, we still need
-a better preset manager. A good example is meldaproduction.
-In- and Outputmetering for better gainstaging and abing.
-External spectrum visualization from any other TV eq v4 instance, including collision detection
Tb eq v4 frequency grid
-tb reverb v4 analyser
-dynamic eq feature for tb reverb v4
-Compressor v4 and tb module v4

Thanks and greets

Yes, and not to forget Isone V4

I wish BusCompressor would be kicked upstairs to a V4 version for 64 bit AAX : )

Would try this plugin here and there when I downloaded updates, and always deleted it. Recently tried it again and really liked what it did to some of my close to finalized songs. Thing is, it’s still a bit of a mystery on how works exactly.

So the icon with three little lines are purely exciters it seems, independent of the bandpass icons. The sub exciters creates sub harmonics, mid exciter excited frequencies where it’s highlighted, and the supra harmonic exciter creates frequencies up top in treble.

On the website it says “Move the analysis dragger horizontally to select the frequency range (analysis band) that you want to apply enhancement and harmonic processing to.” Does that mean the exciter band is affected by the band pass band as well? I guess the main question is, what are the differences between the enhance and exciter icons, and how do they relate and affect each other? Does the enhance purely work with the other parameters such as width and timbre? Or are those settings purely on their own as well. I can move knobs around and it sound better but I want to know exactly what is going on lol

The analysis bands (bass, mid, high - curvy icon draggers) add saturation to the selected area when dragged vertically. They also provide the source for the sub and supra harmonic generators.

For the bass section, you can add sub and supra harmonics (vert lines draggers), and for the high sections you can add supra harmonics. The mid section provides saturation only.

Hope that makes sense, it confused the crap out of me for a while. :D

The manual has been updated with more detail on what each control does - see pages 97/98

Actually yeah that makes a ton of sense lol Just noticed that the 2nd harmonic section is actually part of the bass (supra harmonics for bass) and middle section only has saturation. The color should have gave it away :dog: By the way, I started laughing pretty hard at "curvy icon draggers." Took me a bit to figure out what to call them myself.
