just a note, because it's not immediately obvious to many people: if you are gain staging properly, then to use an overdrive pedal with a virtual amp, you have to do it in two stages. first, you set up your inputs in a way that preserve the input signal the best - so, not too loud (least amount of THD) and not too quiet (least amount of noise). the conventional way to do it is with a VU meter.
the second stage is doing to the virtual amp what happens when you drive it with an overdrive pedal - the "overdriving" part is hitting the amp harder by means of raised output volume on the pedal. since you can't really raise the output volume on the pedal itself (because that way you'd be overdriving your interface's input, not the amp), you have to do it the other way and raise input level for your amp simulator. only then you'll get a similar experience of overdriving a virtual amp from a real pedal.

I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

@Raksha, vurt, Burillo:
Thank you very much for clarifying.
(And here I was thinking guitar is as simple as "bend the string like
reent-toont-teent-toont-teent-toont-teenooneenoonee"
)

What I noticed, there are some amp simulators that seems to clip any signal going too hot BEFORE sending it in their processing chain... which is, IMHO, a great issue if you want to properly gain stage with boosters and overdrive/distortion pedals. More recent simulations, anyway, seems to deal with that pretty properly.. but other suites are surprisingly behaving that way.
My 2 cents

This pedal kills on bass. Looking forward to trying it on guitar.
Plenty more tones in here than just the chainsaw. Perfect for doom or if you want distortion that spits and splutters. Disgustingly good.
Latest version working fine with FL Studio and Reaper.

Hey Lotuz, you anticipated me!
Today, 6pm (CET), we'll release mkII version of Heavy Pedal. There are a lot of changes that will be listed later.
This new version can be installed side by side with the previous version so it won't break your previous projects.
Oh, almost forgot: that's a free update for existing Heavy Pedal users.
See you later guys!

Still need to download the update but wanted to add that I think it's really generous to include new mods. New graphics look good too.
