What type of music do you create?

okay, maybe modular folks should not be singled out, but look at the poll result. only 3 percent create vocal-based music. that 3 percent may not even be all pop music wannabes.
and could you be more "instrumental music" than modular folks?
obvious conclusion: kvr is not a pop songwriter's site. and therefore pop music is abnormal (even hated) here since pop music is almost always 100 percent vocal-based?
but kvr is a gigglefest, full of interesting people and there are no better alternative sites?

13%, from a poll that currently stands at 26 respondents. Possibly a little margin for error?

Well, just off the top of my head without looking to remind myself, regulars posting songs rather than instrumentals also include;harryupbabble wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:44 pmooopps. oh yes 13 percent instead of 3 percent.donkey tugger wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:34 pm13%, from a poll that currently stands at 26 respondents. Not a good conclusion at all. Just because I don't make music with vocals doesn't mean I hate music with vocals. It means I really suck at singing and writing lyrics.harryupbabble wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:26 pm obvious conclusion: kvr is not a pop songwriter's site. and therefore pop music is abnormal (even hated) here since pop music is almost always 100 percent vocal-based?
I once did a cover of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" with vocals. It was horrible. Crimes against humanity sort of horrible.
I like a whole bunch of types of music that I don't make. Industrial, EBM, Scandanavian folk, Celtic folk, Middle Eastern bellydance (particularly American Tribal Style fusion stuff), Viking symphonic metal, Gothic rock, chiptunes, glitch, synthpop, powernoise, occasional baroque stuff, whatever Amon Tobin is, electro swing, darkwave and ethereal wave, some movie scores, some jazz, some pop, etc. I used to try to blend several of those influences into something else, but I learned some restraint. I know some of it influences the music I make now and some of it doesn't much.

the people that hate coldplay's music,
could you at least explain why?
i don't understand.
so like which coldplay song did you hear and said to yourself "damn, i hate that song so much, eww, i'm a gonna puke". or something like that?
was it this one?
