The synth is $99, so if you sell your library at $20 you only need to sell 5 copies to break even. If you can't even do that then your library must be extremely terrible.wagtunes wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 3:29 pm Can I make a decent return on a library if I get this and really work hard on putting a quality library together?

Of course you can!Yorrrrrr wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 4:39 pmCan't you do it in the Mod Matrix?Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 4:37 pm The OB-Xa let you apply Pitchbend to Osc2 only (it was in the Pitch Bend Controls section). Is that option not available here? Let you approximate something like guitar-style double stop bends.
I don't see an option for it here at all.
Thanks!

Well I guess you have to take into account how long the library takes to make, even if it is a hobby it still involves man hours.Reefius wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 4:49 pmThe synth is $99, so if you sell your library at $20 you only need to sell 5 copies to break even. Based on prior posts from Richard, I *think* next on deck are the P600+Gligli mod and MemoryMoog emulations. I look forward to both.Yorrrrrr wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 5:03 pm Impressive lineup of synthesizers you already got there Synapse. All top of the line. Can't wait for whatever you plan for the next plugin.

Demo downloaded - sounds great (as expected)
Tip- If like me you like to demo synths from an 'Initialised patch, its right click for a pop up menu that has that (and other) options (who needs a manual

I'm not sure how popular tribute bands or cover songs are these days among the younger generation, but I'm pretty sure the old time vets are pretty stocked up on synths, sounds and especially presets. And I'm pretty sure the stock presets at least tickle all those nostalgic areas...wagtunes wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 3:29 pm Congrats. I have no doubt it will do well. All your stuff is great.
So ultimately, the question for me comes down to this because I really don't need another synth. Dune 3 alone is off the charts amazing and I use it almost all the time.
Can I make a decent return on a library if I get this and really work hard on putting a quality library together? I didn't think Legend would sell at all and I was dead wrong. Is this the same case scenario? Obviously, nobody can answer that.
And if I do decide to make a library, do I concentrate on using the features not in the original and make sounds the original couldn't make? Will that be more appealing, given I'm sure the factory library will have the usual bread and butter stuff, or will I be alienating the people who want yet another "Jump" or "Tom Sawyer" patch?
There are too many variables to this whole situation. And ultimately, like I said, I just don't need another synth. Though a quality Oberheim, something I don't have, would be kind of nice.
Anyway, all stuff that I have to wrestle with. If nothing else, I will download the demo and see what I think of it.
Congrats again Richard. You're a class act.
The older vet crowd is probably pretty versed in coming up with their own presets by now, or at least tweaking an existing one and calling it their own. I've never bought a preset pack in my life.
As far as the appeal to the younger kids and new generation coming up in the music industry, I'm not sure how much more appealing this would be to them even with a set of dub step presets.
These kind of emulations that have been done so many times over are a step back in innovation.
But, I'm sure there will be some old vets that are happy to live another day in nostalgia...
So go ahead and jump!
When people move the goal posts to make a point, there is no longer an original point to be made.

Ok, got the VST version for now. Hopefully I'll get the RE when it comes out.
