IMO, yeah, definitely. That's the whole reason I got into it.

Studio One is my plan B DAW... That is if one day for whatever reason I give up on Cubendo, I will switch to Studio ONE. I have bought it since I think version 2 and keep updating it but never using it if that day comes (Haven't gone to Studio One v5 yet though).
Why?
Because it is indeed very Cubendo like, I can use it without having to read the manual once.
I love the Cubendo workflow so any plan B DAW has the advantage for me if it works a lot like Cubendo.
I am not at all suggesting some people don't' have issues with/in Cubendo 11.
But with 100% certainty I can say for me and for others "like me", as of say Cubase 10, Cubendo has been the most stable it has ever been in testing and in use.

that isn't true, steinberg is a german based country, or i think it isn't true...Paul Vicory wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 8:13 pm Last post from me. No refunds from Steinberg after authorizing the software, which Chris from USA Steinberg support neglected to mention. Funny. So let the buyer beware.
14 days return policy, by law. chris from USA, does not know the german LAW. i think it is even EU 'law'.
i did get it, even after authorizing. because within those 14 days, there was the celebration, 50% of...
so returned my money, payed for the upgrade again, but 50%...
so.... it depends who you get on the phone i guess....
and ask.net, or how is it called, is the one to contact, about it. i did the direct way, via steinberg, very quick...
so... but you are in the USA, perhaps it only applies to EU customers? i don't know.

cubase pro 11 now, stable, very stable, only one synth crashes cubase, but that is yes yes! not the fault of cubase...
quite stable. very stable. and i am used to cubase.
but also have bitwig studio 3.3, ableton live 11 suite (from 10) (hopefully today) and reaper.
they have all their own problems. when some plugin does not work well, i can choose DAW's...
but that is a luxury...
everyone has mixed experiences with each DAW.

They all go to silicon heaven at some point.lessera wrote: Fri Feb 19, 2021 3:22 pm How does one 'fry' an elicenser dongle anyway?
The original post sounds more like a lengthy rant, than a request for assistance.
Currently on dongle 2.
In fairness, Steinberg make it easy to swap dongles its other companies that don't. **cough** Vengeance

I just want to say a quick thanks to those that recommended Presonus' Studio One as a better DAW option for me than Cubase. Just bought S1 Pro last night with a pretty sweet crossgrade discount to boot. While I have much to learn, I'm amazed at what I've been able to figure out already. It's a lot like Bitwig in that regard; you can start working in it immediately - mostly because the UI is so straightforward, and most everything is where I would expect it to be. Oh, and installation was a snap, every part of the program works. And sorry for the sour grapes, but Steinberg can go get bent as far as I'm concerned.

I will keep the dongle as souvenir
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Haha no I won't be selling the license at this time. I may end up putting it on my laptop whenever I get around to buying another E licenser. However, I can't imagine it ever being my main DAW again.

Could well be that, by the end of the year, you won't even need the eLicenser anymore.Paul Vicory wrote: Fri Mar 12, 2021 9:21 pm Haha no I won't be selling the license at this time. I may end up putting it on my laptop whenever I get around to buying another E licenser.

"I installed a new version of the 'elicenser control software' on the computer."
Word to the wise, any time it starts acting up, check for new version.
If the issue is a kaput dongle, take out a Zero DownTime ticket and they'll sort you, the once.
