I’m still using a 2013 copy of Adobe Lightroom. Just checked and it’s still available for download in my account. Wonder if I’ll be using my copy of Neutron Standard in 8 years time?

“You will get Music Production Suite Pro for $48 for the first year. Your renewal price after the first year will be $199.90/year. If you choose to cancel after the first year, your projects will be preserved with the last settings you made. While you won't be able to edit the settings, the processing will be applied so that your projects still sound the same. All prices and offers are subject to change.“

We're drifing towards rent world, when you own nothing but rent everything.
This is a great way for company owners to make money without creating or developing anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is this for existing MPS owners then?crickey13 wrote: Fri Oct 08, 2021 1:33 pm “You will get Music Production Suite Pro for $48 for the first year. There are still permanent licenses for MPS AFAIK (haven't been following the situation too closely), but the push is clearly to incentivize people to subscribe. ARA integration is apparently going to be available to Post Production Suite subscribers, not sure about RX subs. Permanent license holders will either have to wait for updates or won't receive any updates at all, what lies ahead remains to be seen.

So my perfectly functional ARA2 integration in Studio One will stop working?crickey13 wrote: Wed Oct 13, 2021 12:24 pm BTW, for people interested in the ARA integration, it will apparently be available partly in Logic only.

Actually, I was thinking about some other software. ARA integration of RX is nice to have, but I don’t use it a lot, certainly not enough to make me go subscription. Their Producers Club to me is about as attractive a thing to join as the ‘27 Club’.crickey13 wrote: Wed Oct 13, 2021 12:51 pm Just relaying what the internet is saying, that's why I used the word 'apparently'. Take it with a pinch of salt obviously.

Sub only huh, fortunately I abandoned their stuff some time ago. Interestingly, I am finding that the game subscription model is pretty nice, play all the games and delete them when you are done. Even 1 single AAA title purchase equates to 50% of that yearly sub.

It isn't, but it never stops people saying it is.
