From mixx, https://mixxx.org/support/, also not listed on the LV2 page
Manual - 16.6.6. Version 2.2.0 (2018-12-17) wrote: Effects

Add mix mode switch (Dry/Wet vs Dry+Wet) for effect units.

Add support for LV2 effects plugins (currently no way to show plugin GUIs).

Add preference option for selecting which effects are shown in the list of available effects in the main window (all LV2 effects are hidden by default and must be explicitly enabled by users).

The project lives at https://github.com/DISTRHO/PawPaw

Yes/No. It's not really about acquiring plugins ATM and more about just knowing who and what is supporting the format. Thanks for lnking to your projects. I had seen PawPaw in my efforts to explore what's going on with LV2.

A thread like this and a wiki page serve a different purpose. A wiki page about a standard that isn't super visible to most users of commercial operating systems isn't going to repeatedly promote an idea in their minds. Further, open or not, a wiki page that is specific to a topic will only attract people already interested in that topic.

A thread like this, OTOH, pops up on a greater diversity of people's radar and has the potential to trigger conversations and thoughts that a wiki page wouldn't.

So the wiki is the second best place to start. A thread like this that I use to document what I find over time and that other people may contribute to is the best place to start because I'm already here and don't have to do anything that I wouldn't do otherwise.

Yes, I think so. You're taking the title at purely face value. I'll say it a little differently, chatting on KVR is fun, editing a wiki is work. So, even if the impact is small, it actually happens.

This is an interesting topic right now, so we are talking about it right now. The best place to talk is not a wiki.

Maybe at some point someone will copy some things to the wiki, yay! People don't get too fired up over facts though, but post some opinion that someone else disagrees with, and look at how the conversation evolves.

Just look at this thread for an example. You disagreed with me, and your response based on that disagreement pushed the title to the top of the forum page where people read the title. This induces a brief thought about LV2 and Products and interest in linking the two. Had I just posted a fact, you may not have responded, and the thread would have just moved lower down the page.

Documentation isn't the primary purpose of this thread, discussion about LV2 outside of the DSP forum is the primary purpose.

https://lsp-plug.in/?page=manuals provides a very nice set if you use Linux, they are not ported to win/mac at this point.
Great. That's a nicely ordered list.
https://x42-plugins.com/x42/ has a bunch of top-quality plugins, note the binaries are sold even though the project is open-source, it is a way to fund development.
I wondered about the x42 stuff. I downloaded a Windows binary, I assume that it is a demo, I haven't installed it yet, I'll get to that this weekend.
Speaking of paid, there are already some commercial stuff for LV2:
https://www.auburnsounds.com/
https://www.modartt.com/pianoteq
https://harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus-plugins/
I didn't know about Auburn Sounds, I guess the dev is posting in the DSP forum.
On the host/daw side, things are not that great at this point.
But we got Ardour/Mixbus, my own little Carla tool, Audacity has LV2 but only enabled on Linux.
https://mixxx.org/ was similar with only LV2 for Linux, but developers are changing that for next release.
Reaper got LV2 couple of weeks ago, and there is a new DAW https://www.zrythm.org/en/ which will support LV2 from the get-go (still in beta testing phase)
I'll check out zrythm because it looks interesting, but, Reaper is my main DAW and the recent support of LV2 is partially what is triggering my interest at the moment.

Are you aware of any open source tools that are similar to plug-n-script, i.e., high level prototyping tools, other than Faust, that generate LV2 plugins?

Some significant commercial products I'm missing in this thread:

https://www.polyeffects.com/ - Beebo/Digit/Hector, uses ingen lv2 plugin-host internally.
https://moddevices.com/ - Duo/DuoX/Dwarf, has its own opensource mod-host that is also used for diy projects.
https://elk.audio/ - an "audio os" meant for embedded applications, runs both lv2 and vst plugins.

My fork of HVCC utilizes falkTX' DPF to create LV2 plugins from Pure Data patches: https://github.com/Wasted-Audio/hvcc
