Best bread and butter compressor (so far)?

Understanding breat n butter as something good that just do its job without being any greater in any way I love McDSP stuff, the classic bundle: compressorbank, filterbank, multiband comp and analog channels. Compressor and EQ specially are great, simple and in a core what I would call bread n butter of a tool

To me, bread and butter signifies a compressor that could be used in most applications, not necessarily every situation though. I really like Softube CL 1B mkii and their Zener Limiter, although I have just the Console 1 Zener Bender channel strip, not the stand alone comp.
I find that both of those suit many use cases. I mixed a song recently with just the Zener Bender strip for Console 1 and was very happy with it. The CL 1B is likewise very flexible, it’s less forgiving than some comps, but once you spend some time with it and get the subtleties of it, it works well on a lot of sources.
