It would be good if IK put out a statement addressing said rumours in the media. If people believe IK is having a financial crisis and/or soon to be under new management, that is going to create uncertainty and doubt about the company's future that can lead to a drop in sales.

It may well be, but having been through it myself Peter wouldn't know unless he was the owner, it is all done under NDAs between the seller an the buyer.

Regular employees won’t know anything - and can even be told the opposite only to find out the other thing is true. Whatever will guarantee the most money will happen - employees, feelings, etc. don’t generally matter at all (except employees are an expense that needs to be cut).

I've worked for major corporations. We were once told our jobs would not be eliminated as we were on our way to the office to have our jobs eliminated.

They're not going to tell you beforehand in fear you'll go postal or steal all the office supplies.

Probably why they just gave away a large section of their future potential earnings over time for the quick hit 'buy 1 get 25 free sale!' - Generous as it was, is there anyone in the music world that wanted an IK product that now doesn't already own it!

I am a huge owner of IK stuff, the "i" stuff is all great little fixers, the Unos were absolutely brilliant for the price I got them, and I owned most of their stuff by the end of the group buy, that said, anybody who bought in to the group buy and didn't think that IK had a whole ton of paid updates and new product upcoming was kidding themselves.
IK have always been a "special" company, paid downloads, and the absolute biscuit of paying to sell the hardware you bought hahaha.
But they do have some great product, so you have to take their crap with a pinch of salt.

It may be a spam (however, I do not receive such spam myself often). In my case it was a contact from a well-known company and webdomain.
