Irritating experience with plugins and devs

Some techniques I use to try and mitigate dev and transfer issues:
1. I never assume I know what the transfer policy is.
2. I look at the dev's site to determine the current transfer policy
3. If I have ANY questions/concerns I contact them first
4. Before I post anything for sale I make sure I know for sure what the policy is and work to mitigate any risks
Even then, I've been bitten. It's just ONE of the risks with the 3rd party plugin world.

Thanks for your tips.jamcat wrote: Tue Mar 29, 2022 6:13 pm Your two best options would be either to sell the Maxgrade and transfer it and the qualifying MAX product to the buyer, or register the Maxgrade serial number back to your own account.
Right now as it stands, there is nothing stopping the guy you originally tried to sell it to from selling it or using it himself, since it is not attached to an account right now.
I had some conversation with buyer even after I had refunded. He is from England.
If he did what you wrote, well, you know how it would be called and considered, don't you!
He sold a lot on ebay (no plugins!) with lots of very good ratings, I do not think he is a scammer.
I read somewhere, maybe on kvr, that when you register a IK Multimedia product you are blocked as to re-sale for 6 (?) months.
Ik Multimedia has so so many different specific terms, I get a headache as soon as I hear or read "IK Multimedia".
And I do not like pizza that much, so I won't miss IK Multimedia in my projects,
never used it a lot that's why I wanted to sell it. IK Multimedia plugins even made Reaper crash here and then, Reaper! one of the most stable daws! But I do not think their plugins are bad! And IK Multimedia still has not replied to my email, I really won't miss IK Multimedia, I got my reply in this thread anyway

It's just not my favorite food, it's more or less unhealthy fastfood, I eat about 2 - 4 pizzas in a year. But please let's not start talking about food haha

I'm glad that you do still eat pizza sometimes though man that's, you know that's relatable to me that we both do still eat pizza even if not constantly.

There are quite a lot of second hand offers of Total Studio 2 MAX on knobcloud and ebay now. And ikmultimedia even has a nice upgrade offer to the current version 3 now.
A friend of mine bought IK Amplitube MAX a few days ago and could not register cuz it was a crossgrade version. On Ebay someone even sells it for 50 USD and I doubt they all know the transfer terms. 50 USD and you get hundreds of plugins, crazy.
I think the best thing is 2 ask for serial number before you buy and check with IKMULTIMEDIA what version it is or maybe a seller has checked it and can prove it!
BTW I do not like pizza, but pasta is ok, maybe someone could start a survey and we could find out how popular pizza is

I re-sold three T-Racks plugins very cheap successfully and I highly recommend to find your purchase or order receipt to know what kind of version you bought.
I also have exactly the same Amplitube and Total Studio MAX versions and want to sell them, as well.
Just contact me if you are interested.
I have Amplitube 5, so I can sell Amplitube 4 MAX.
I also have REAPER and IK Multimedia works properly never crashing my daw, only tape emus are pretty high on cpu.
I join the poll, I like pizza and give 8 out of 10.
