It's a great bonus even for people that aren't upgrading to v9.noiseboyuk wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:36 pmSPOILER: it does.zakufan wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:34 pm Analog Lab is updated to 5.5. Waiting for the download to finish to find out if it includes the new instruments![]()

Yes, when they remake a instrument from scratch, this is almost always the case (see the Jupiter 8 V3 -> V4 case as an example...)

Hi Edouard,
Thank you and congrats on the release. Brilliant job by the team.
I have a question regarding Analog Lab V.
Why is the icon shown in the screenshot below (Pigments) not available in Analog Lab V? I am finding it's absence a bit inconvenient. Could you please check if this was an oversight by any chance? It is possible it was not present in earlier version too, but would be good if this icon was added to open the browser when you are not in browser view.

I have V8, the effects collection, Pigments, a BS-Pro, a Keylab 88, a MatrixBrute, a Minibrute 2S, a Drumbrute, and even an old SparkLE. My upgrade price is $199.
I am not sure right now. Maybe I will wait and see if V9 goes on sale.

Pricing is straightforward.
Full version, new: $499
Upgrade from VC7 or earlier: $299
Upgrade from VC8: $199
Upgrade from VC8 + SQ80 V: $149
Unrelated products don't get you a bigger discount.
Already owning more V Collection synths does.

Odd choice: you can't use Velocity to modulate the Amp Level (volume) in the Prophet-5. Definitely an option on the Rev 4 and you know "more Velocity is more loud" is kind of a thing with most instruments.

Yeah, there is a crossgrade for some Arturia hardware owners as well, but I don’t have complete info on which products are eligible so I only included V Collection upgrade prices.ReleaseCandidate wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 7:17 pmI have a Keystep (and nothing else), my price would be 399€/$jamcat wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:57 pm Full version, new: $499

Any existing products you already own will get the latest updates without needing to upgrade to V9. You just don’t get the all-new rebuilt versions that are exclusive to V9 (CS-80 V4, Prophet-5 V, Prophet-VS.)Examigan wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:41 pmIt's a great bonus even for people that aren't upgrading to v9.noiseboyuk wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:36 pmSPOILER: it does.zakufan wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:34 pm Analog Lab is updated to 5.5. Well the original Prophet, which I assume they're emulating, didn't even have a velocity sensitive keyboardFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 7:17 pm Odd choice: you can't use Velocity to modulate the Amp Level (volume) in the Prophet-5. You can fudge it by routing velocity to both Osc 1 and Osc 2 Level in the Advanced section but I agree a global VCA or Osc1+Osc2 level probably wouldn't have taken thousands of man-hours to implement
On an unrelated note, interesting how they were able to use the Korg name on the MS20 as they're still around and even have their own MS20 plugin.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Might be straightforward but that does not mean it's affordable (especially for us non US types) or worth the upgrade.
Even $199.00 CDN would be a stretch here given what I have seen so far as value adds go.
I will wait this out as I have never paid more than $99.00 for a V Collection upgrade at any time.
Cheers

They partnered with or licensed it from Korg (which of these is still unclear).AdvancedFollower wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 8:00 pm On an unrelated note, interesting how they were able to use the Korg name on the MS20 as they're still around and even have their own MS20 plugin.

Even more so; the mk1 filter model sounds really, really good. I wonder if they got the schematicsAdvancedFollower wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 8:00 pmWell the original Prophet, which I assume they're emulating, didn't even have a velocity sensitive keyboardFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 7:17 pm Odd choice: you can't use Velocity to modulate the Amp Level (volume) in the Prophet-5. And Piano V (and IT IS a great rewriting - it comes much closer to Pianoteq).jamcat wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 7:46 pm Any existing products you already own will get the latest updates without needing to upgrade to V9.
