NI Komplete 14

I have K13 and suggest Ni to do the following:
- ZEIT a delay effect to complement RAUM. This could be marketed as the Time and Space bundle.
- More sampled Pianos. Komplete really lacks multisampled pianos. They urgently need to adress this /s
- Polyplex 2 -> Polyplex is like battery but a million times better. But it would be cool if you could use the included FX when you use the multi out, which is the way 99% of people are using a drum plugin.
- A Drum synth that uses synth engines for every part of the drum kit.
- Reaktor > Kontakt. Make more cool Reaktor Ensembles and less New sampled Kontakt Instruments
- Less Expansions. I mean massive presets are ok I guess but the majority of expansions are Drum kits or something idk. Is anyone actually using these ?
- A granular synth that is not this 200$ straylight stuff but just a granular synth.

Maybe they should just buy/hire Dawsome, that's where the really cool new instruments seem to be coming from...the new Absynths! Check out Novum for how cool a stand alone granular can be!
Whilst we are on FX...they never added any 'modelled' guitar amps we were promised when they launched GR6 with almost nothing new (but it had the new 'rapid development' feature!) ...so maybe some more circuit modelled fx and amps...

Going with a Battery 5 that incorporates polyplex attributes and other fun goodies. It has languished long enough and is certainly a better investment for the future than anything else in their portfolio that requires updating, eg. Absynth 6, FM9, Reaktor7 etc… Obvs there is a shot for a Kontact 7 but it seems premature on how ‘new’ Kontact 6 is…

Battery update isn't a bad shout, but it would have a lot of catching up to do- a built in step sequencer? Ability to find map your drum samples? (XO, Atlas etc)
I think Absynth is finished with Plasmonic coming out, FM may get a facelift )(not sure what needs adding?) and Reaktor 7 would be a surprise...the last few version update (Kontakt, GR) didn't add a great deal anyway, so maybe 'facelifts' are coming?

What I’d really love to see is Razor X. The sound is already top notch, just add more additive fx slots, more modulation, more polyphony, more everything! A standalone version could save CPU compared to using Reaktor.

I'm pretty new to the NI thing, only been a year. I wonder about the libraries by Scarbee or Noire or Mallet Flux and probably others which weren't developed by NI. Will they throw some of the products featured under NKS partners on their site. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those Soundiron libraries made it into Komplete 14. The major thing missing from K13 for cinematic composers is a really good choir library, or really any playable instrument with sampled vocals.
How did Scarbee's instruments make it into Komplete? Were they just announced as part of it, or did they begin as NKS partners too?

Because the guy who originally wrote the program is the only person who can add new features?Arashi wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:36 pmThe Absynth developer (Brian Clevinger) left NI years ago, unfortunately.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

I still want to know where Absynth 5 falls short. The only thing some older synths need are GUI updates + OS compatibility and CPU optimizations.

Arturia's Collection V is much more interesting upgrade than NI Komplete at this point. If Komplete 14 brings nothing more than a few additional sample packs it'll be a certain pass. The last worthy update (K9) introduced Monark for Reaktor 5. NI never followed up Monark with any other serious synth emulations but thankfully strong developers like U-he, TAL and Gforce have stepped in to fill the void.

The current Komplete 13 sale ends September 5th. So, I am expecting Komplete 14 to be announced on September 6th, which is Tuesday. NI generally announces new Komplete versions on Tuesdays from what I recall.
We already know what's going to be added to Komplete 14 (whatever was released since 13), but I am curious about the things that we come to know only upon the announcement - for example, what core products will receive major updates or what new synths will be added or upgraded. I don't want to see Reaktor 7, not at all. Kontakt 7 might be good, but looks a bit unlikely to me. Guitar Rig Pro was upgraded last time.
Absynth 6 and Battery 5 seem likely to me. A GUI overhaul of Absynth 5 will be more than enough for me, but pretty sure it won't just be that if they do actually do a revamp. Battery really needs a substantial update, but I am already comfortable with Groove Agent 5 now, so unless it is something special I would not care much.
I also expect that the entire plugin portfolio will be compatible with VST3 format and support the latest OSs. I am hoping to see more plugins supporting resizable GUI and becoming standalones (non-Reaktor), like Super 8.
Whatever it is, I am looking forward to the new Komplete version, as always.

Indeed, but those are flagship products so we cannot rule out the possibility of a major version entirely, which is why I wrote the above. There's surely better things where hopefully NI would have spent more of their efforts on. I would take Kontakt 7 over Reaktor 7 any day. But hope we won't see either.

I am always secretly quite relived when they dont add anything 'must have' as I always feel its much better value (on Ultimate anyway) to only upgrade ever couple of years...but the buggers normally add one thing I actually want and the single product price versus the upgrade price....TBH I have stooped even downloading a lot of the sample based stuff and maschine packs, I just don't use them, I also don't use the Kontakt 'real' guitar or bass stuff (new- green guitar played left handed with a metal pick' 16Gig download...) but you kind of end up with it anyway!

multicore support in reaktor! (but it seems quite hard to do).electro wrote: Fri Jul 01, 2022 6:28 pm I can't imagine what a Kontakt 7 and Reaktor 7 would need to introduce that isn't already there in Kontakt 6 and Reaktor 6.
