So much of the audio industry, including a ton of "audiophile" gear, is just snake oil and cognitive bias.

It's a bunch of snobs who just love collecting things and chasing unicorns that don't want to admit they have a gear addition and more money than sense. And trust me: with all the plugins I collect, I'm directing some of that at myself.
