or does the Demo only come without a placeholder GUI so to speak?
No wonder it's only $60, it comes without a real GUI, that must be extra?, or included in the higher priced version?

Also I have a problem with Reaper GUI. I tried donzens of different themes but for some reason none of them, absolutely none of them look like it was supposed to be: Logic, FL studio, Cubase clone. Customs ones are not better. All of them looked like some modern elements mixed with Windows 95. For some people doesn't matter but for me it does.

I am using a theme based on the excellent Imperial, made by White Tie, and I am more than happy. If you are so picly, maybe it's time you start customizing the one(s) you like more to please you more. It isn't that hard to do it.Piotr979 wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 12:47 pm Also I have a problem with Reaper GUI. If Dom & Roland uses Reaper you know it's damn good. But I'm not ever switching from Nuendo.

I've been using Reaper for well over 10 years and it gets the job done every time. Is it beautiful to look at? No, but I would rather it not be eye candy. If I was starting out in music production today would I choose Reaper? Probably not. If all I did was record audio and mix I would definitely go with Reaper. If all I did was noodle around with virtual instruments and produce electronic music I would probably go with Ableton Live. If I wanted a DAW that bridges Live and Reaper I would go with Studio One 6. To me, Studio One has become the workhorse DAW today. That being said, as a long time Reaper user would I switch to SO6 today? I'm thinking about it. I'm demoing it at the moment and it seems promising. But even if I switch I will keep Reaper installed just in case........

Completely agree. You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.Piotr979 wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 12:47 pm Also I have a problem with Reaper GUI.
