quoting myself. these are not apple silicon native. if you already have these plug ins installed on your apple silicon system there is no reason to install them again. these versions are not updated in any way as best i can tell.dayjob wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 3:32 pm i have all these installed from long ago and they all work in monterey already but aren't native apple silicon. has that changed?
are these new versions or did they just make them free?
edit: on the download pages it says "Apple CPU".. so if they're indeed native that's huge.
the VST 2 will not show up in live or anything else if you are running the DAW natively. if you are using rosetta then they probably will... but is anyone doing that still?
the Au shows up as usual because of the apple plugin hosting translator app thingy.
so, other than these being legacy free downloads there's nothing new. i owned the whole bundle already so kind of pointless to go thru the motions.
also, worth mentioning that ohmboyz Infinity still does not work in any DAW on apple silicon machines. it fails validation in Logic and will not load in ableton. it's a piece of sh!t that doesn't work.

Very nice of Ohmforce to set the legacy plugins free.
Ohmboyz and a couple of others were some of my first plugin purchases back in the late 1800's or at least it seems like that long ago.
I was also too cheap to pay for the 64 bit versions mostly because I had found other plugins I preferred by then.
One reason was the GUI shrink they suffered from over the years. I just loaded the 64 bit version of Ohmboyz and it is postage stamp tiny even at 1080. I can't imagine what it looks like at higher resolutions.
But still it's a nice sounding delay. I just have to put nose to monitor to use it.

Frohmager is not available for download until now, as if no one is taking care of the site.
Same thing. I started using Audio Damage Kombinat and other plug-ins, but it was nice to plunge into the past.Teksonik wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 7:43 pm Ohmboyz and a couple of others were some of my first plugin purchases back in the late 1800's or at least it seems like that long ago.

Ah look, stuff hat I paid for, then paid an upgrade for, which hasn’t been maintained for current Macs, is now free ‘legacy’ downloads. Kewl.
I am legacy too, so no hard feelings, naturally.

I got Ohmboyz, Haematohm and Mobilohm today, bought them years ago but changed computer, email etc and couldn't access them, so nice to get them back after years. Had a real good play with Ohmboyz and it's still a superb delay. Not many have proper resonant filters in the delay circuit & all those LFOs per parameter so IMO it stands up to the best even today. I had a 2 tap delay with dual delay lines, matching but opposite LFOs sweeping opposite filters, opposite panning sweeps...and it sounded fkn gooooooorgeous, darling. I'll have a good play with Mobilohm tomorrow - that was one of my favourite phasers too. It's like having an old friend back, but they're still quality. Surprised me quite how good Ohmboyz still is. I think it's back to being my No 1 delay again...

I miss my Ohm Force plugs, but the company is a mess. None of the installers has been updated and Frohmager is not available, so I guess this was just a premature website update.

Yeah, but you got a super cute little animation of a pice of cheese walking on the moon. Bright side!fceramic wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 9:47 am I miss my Ohm Force plugs, but the company is a mess. I do actually quite like the look of the new plugin .... Wonder if the goodhertz people were involved in any way as aside from the illustration in the middle it looks very much like their GUI in-house style

I really hope they update the old plugins for Apple Silicon at some point. Would be awesome! One can dream, right?

It's basically the same layout as Ohmboyz:Infinity, so probably not.mcbpete wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 1:53 pm I do actually quite like the look of the new plugin ....
