With all due respect, kind sir, it is my inalienable right to pursue eargasms ... soulgasms, even - to the point of financial ruin if I see fit.
in that case, do you have 5 minutes to spare, to discuss the good news about eurorack modular synthesis...?
you would be great as Jehovah door to door sales man :-)
i can tell you all about the suzuki 350

Love it...

This guy looks like me when I am talking about Bitwig...

In other words: you can have fun on collecting toys but the CLAP thing in Bitwig is on another level.

Ok… back to Live :D
Very true actually...
All we need now is OmniCLAP :hyper:

I notice that you haven't mentioned drum software or (more or less) dedicated bass software. Is this something in which you'd be interested?

Maybe, to be obvious, you'd care to pick up Trillian and Stylus RMX? Trillian interfaces well with Keyscape and Omnisphere, while Stylus RMX, though long in the tooth, offers a ton of great sounding, ready made, but easily customizable patterns (especially with the expansions.) But, and especially in the case of drum software, there are bunch of great options.

Should go the hw route anyway. Much more funz. You'll be pleased to know there's a Buy Everything Deal on at Thomann for only $275,000. Kinda tempted myself actually... :hyper:

The problem you are going to find out is that most plugins presets are tailored towards electronic music.

I think Pigments could be really interesting for you, and you can find a diverse set of soundsets by arturia or third parties to complement it.

For realistic instruments and not electronic feel, I think there is nothing better than physical modeling.
.... and there is no better physical modeling synth than Obekt by reason studio.

Buy it inside reason rack plugin.
It is a wonderful source of inspiration and crazy sounds.

Nothing says excess like outboard gear starting with the totally analog Echo Fix EF-X3 Tape Chorus Echo with Spring Reverb!!!

"The centerpiece of the EF-X3 is its tape delay, which offers three standard playback heads and seven modes to combine the heads in different ways for rhythmic patterns. But not stopping there, Echo Fix has added a fourth playback head for Sound on Sound looping, which may be engaged separately. You can easily dial in a tape delay sound to your liking, thanks to the numerous front panel controls: Speed, Echo Volume, Feedback, Bass, and Treble.

"With its instrument input, the EF-X3 has a special JFET preamp circuit for a crisp drive that sounds excellent on guitar, basses, and even synths. And new to the EF-X3 is an analog BBD-chorus for additionally lush sounds—use this on its own or layer it in with drive and delay for highly rich textures. Use synthesizer control voltages to manipulate the tape speed and feedback in real-time, and individual outputs for each tape head give you more flexibility in the mixing stages of your tracks. And you get a totally analogue spring reverb to use in combination or separately.

"If you want authentic analog tape chorus delay and reverb in a modern package, there's no better option than the Echo Fix EF-X3."

And when its not turned on, it also functions as a work of art!

Oh my... Thanks for the find... I just spent 10 minutes hypnotised....
I think that could be the quintessential of GAS...
With 4 types of excellent delay offered by my DAW, I was feeling bad buying Fabfilter Timeless....
But now I feel so reasonable.... Thanks for that. :-D

To update you all, I purchased Analog Lab V from Sweetwater. I found out later about the Arturia V Collection 9 ...

...and then I found out about Arturia's Sound Explorers Bundle - Belledone. I firmly believe the Sound Explorer Bundle - Belledone should cure my GAS - i looked that up and I have definitely am afflicted - the only issue I'm having is, I don't want to pay for Analog Lab V twice.

Is it POSSIBLE to buy the Bundle and save money due to purchasing Analog Lab V?

Are you not enjoying Omni?

Maybe try crafting some presets from scratch.

Instead of browsing the presets and starring them, start at the sound sources first to star, and then combine.

Truly a lovely synth imo.

Have you registered it yet? Sweetwater might let you do an exchange. If you already registered it, you might be able to get a special cross grade price.

Listen to me, what's happening here is the story of my adult life and hardwired into my DNA, apparently.

In almost every facet of my life, when I come across something amazing, I wallow in it and then my next thought is, 'I need to find something even MORE amazing!'

I don't know how to stop doing this, so I just roll with it.

Last night, I played Phoenix Rising with Black Hole Rhodes and damn near cried. Omnisphere + Keyscape are ridiculous. That being said, I just can't help wanting more.
