This is just "music" I constructed in Cubase LE 5 during most
of the month of December, 2013. It was supposed to be
a complete song by New Year's Day 2014 but as usual
I had trouble completing the lyrics.

Still, I decided to upload it as a wordless song
that third day of January, 2014. I was almost pretty sure that
I will someday complete the lyrics and
fix the music some more as well, but at that time
I left it alone as I was busy trying to make music
for another song. To this day, I haven't finished the lyrics.

To make the video, I must have used Windows Movie Maker,
and Microsoft Expression Encoder to capture the screen.
I forget what media player's visualizer I used
but I am sure it wasn't Winamp.

Music and lyrics construction... they are too time consuming.
Lots of trials and errors. Fun though.

My wife and I are professional photographers as a side gig and we work with a lot of local agency models. It’s funny how many of them are also singers/songwriters so I record songs with some of them on occasion. This is a cover of a Lunik song, so it’s not actually an original, but I did all the instrumentation and Makayla sang it. We sorta threw this together back in late summer just before she left for college and shot a bunch of video while we were on location for a shoot. We plan to do something more complete and original when shes’s back home.

It's going comparatively well, thanks for asking! I have one video in the works that I'm trying to clean up in Resolve, it's a real learning process. Been looking at Blender 4 but that feels a bit like overkill, at least at this point.

But, with enough coffee, ANYTHING is possible!

And thanks for the offer of help, I may pester you in the future, especially if I jump to After Effects for additional visuals. Ugh, my brain hurts!

Went out and shot video with another singer/model yesterday for a song she wrote and I produced. Worked late into the night and this morning on the music video, hopefully coming later this week.

I need a cheaper and simpler hobby, like breeding pet rocks.

Fighting Visual Synthesizer to get a slow, pulsating effect tied to bass swells in my track. In THEORY, the 'trigger by level in frequency band' functionality should work but it's fiddly as hell. Well, they say adversity is good for the soul... but screw that I want it to JUST WORK!

I'm sure I could do something in Fusion in Resolve with about a month of tutorials and experimentation. Can I buy patience on eBay?

Well, I got this video done quicker than I thought I would. This is a song written by our Norwegian singer/model friend Bella and I did all the music and production on it. We went out yesterday and shot video around a small mountain lake and town here in northern California. The video was shot entirely with my iPhone 14 Pro Max with a DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal, and edited in Final Cut Pro. Constructive crits are always welcome, since I’m still trying to figure this whole music video thing out!
