That update price for previous owners who have almost every FF plugin - MB & Gate are missing - is a little steep IMHO
Just have to weigh up the pros and cons considering the plethora of other verbs one owns. At €30 it would be no brainer without demoing.

I have everything and I agree £50.40 is a little steep for an upgrade, especially when you can buy any Valhalla plugin for $50 all year round. With the 25% discount during BF/winter sale, it will be £37, which is a little more palatable.kelvyn wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 10:30 am That update price for previous owners who have almost every FF plugin - MB & Gate are missing - is a little steep IMHO

Christ! I hate Dan Worrall's voice... He sounds like that moaning robot from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Plus, he always sounds completely bored.
That said I love FF and will upgrade immediately.

I don't know. I don't feel I can compare Fab with Valhalla. Valhalla is so suited to my personal taste I barely look to other reverbs any longer. If Fab is your style then Fab it is.PieBerger wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 11:39 am I have everything and I agree £50.40 is a little steep for an upgrade, especially when you can buy any Valhalla plugin for $50 all year round. Give me Dan's dulcet tones over the 1,000,0000 hyperactive ADHD youtubers screaming and shouting any day of the week.Robmobius wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 11:45 am Christ! I hate Dan Worrall's voice... I like Pro-R and alongside ValhallaPlate it's my most used reverb, so I probably will get it at some point, it's just not instabuy value like pretty much every other FF update I've bought in the past. The other consideration is that maybe I'm just getting more fussy/less gassy over time and we all know that's a crock of sht1t (for me or anyone else xD)DrGonzo wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 11:59 amI don't know. $84.50 for a f**king upgrade. no
I bought the full version of Tai Chi for $15 more than that. Ridiculous.

.. and looks like it's out.

If you want to explore the new presets in Pro-R2, you can type "Pro-R2" into the search field as I tagged every new preset with it. This is the easiest way to find the new presets from the already massive preset library of the predecessor.
.. but it's a pretty simple reverb on the surface so no real need for presets perhaps.

60€ upgrade for me (65% discount). I already love Pro-R, but Dan's video showing what's new and how it sounds, sold it to me.
The interface overhaul is a really nice thing. Now all controls are in the top bar and grouped more together, looking cleaner, less cluttered, more readable.
The reasons I'll buy it: reverb algos (modern, vintage, plate - 60€ for 3 superb plugins is a no-brainer), IR import/analysis (I have a huge library and what Fabfilter did here sounds different than tweaking length or modulation in a convolution reverb).
Gate & ducking is something I've barely used in the past. Maybe now it's the time to dig deeper into.
