No... the copy protection is different...

Spire uses a simple activation file, so it can be used if the company goes down as long as your OS runs fine the latest version...

Parawave has a challenge response system which will make the plugin unuseable when their servers are down and you need to install/reactivate it again...

That´s a huge difference!

I believe dev said like 2-3 years ago that he is working on Spire 2 - but went quiet since then regarding development. But they have regular promo offers on their website, at least that shows some signs of life compared to Parawave.

Parawave is doing the same, sales, a little annual update with bug fixes, a roadmap having 2 years old

It might be your location and something out on the internet slowing up or blocking your connection.

Trace route can help figure it out if you’re on a PC. Not sure how it works on a Mac though.

You could also try a VPN.

Spire still gets updates and new soundsets. It certainly hasn't been abandoned.

I'm trying to reach Parawave support but it always fails when submitting my demand...

Tried with Opera, Firefox, .... Anyone having the same issue ?
Any idea what could be their e-mail so I could simply send one to them ?

I tried to disable Hyperthreading on my CPU. And it bugs Rapid, no sound, no wavetables loaded, nothing in the Library...

Re-enabling Hyperthreading fixes the issue. I tried re-installing but no luck...
