Soo... yesterday we got the Cherry Audio CR-78.
Today we're getting the TAL Alpha Juno II.

What's next? A Roland Cloud JX-8P sometime tomorrow?

I wished that at least one of those "classic" Roland analog synths would have separate filter and amp envelopes. Pretty limiting.

Another Roland synth originally voiced by Eric Persing, no less... so you can blame him for the hoover, if not everything that came from it...

This is great - hopefully TAL can do a JX10 next...

I've been praying for a TAL-JX10 for so long lol. I have been playing with the demo and there is an added saw wave that you can detune so you can get closer to the JX10/MKS70 sound with this if you want.

Example: Roland JX-8P has 2 envelopes.

Yes, the Jupiter 8 too, but, many, many Roland synths only have 1 shared envelope.

Yes - generally at the more budget end - which includes the Junos. The more upmarket end - eg, Jupiters, JXs etc, pretty much all had two envelopes per voice.

Sure I also like the almost endless modulation possibilities in modular or modern soft synths. But each, Juno or Alpha, has its own certain sonic character. I think that's all about here.

...So I excitedly grabbed the demo and immediately started playing around ... and immediately stopped.

To say this thing is aggressive with the CPU is an understatement.

Hopefully it's a temporary problem, or maybe it's just the demo, or maybe I shouldn't be using the CLAP version, but: for me, I'mma have to wait. :S

I do think it sounds great and the UI is really nice and I look forward to being able to use it. ...eventually.
