Fixed.
That's what I meant though? Everyone has different tastes. I would love an Arturia Channel Strip in 500-series style UI, but that's all I could think of.
Indeed, that would be interesting.

Agree that you can't go wrong with the SoundToys suite. BTW, they actually did a UI update with the release of v5.4 that added antialiasing graphs, HD textures, etc. Although, they did not change the overall esthetic too much.

Those 19 Bucks for Model N will be the best Investment you could ever make for a Channel strip.

Trust me on this!

I have and it's decent (used it on my latest OSC entry). Not amazing, but serviceable if you're looking for something free.

If favorite is measured by the amount of use they get then the Lindell 50 and AMEK 9099 certainly fit the definition here.

If one plays the Plugin Alliance sales/coupon game both can be had for a fair price.

Personally I would never recommend something without using it. Why the hell anyone would do that I don't care to know because it's stupid.
Anyhow, I use it on vocals, sometimes bass depending what sound I'm aiming for.
Love to use it on a drum buss to give it a dirty saturated push. So compress, limit, and raise the dirty knob a bit.
Yeah I probably should do the buss bit with separate plugs but the channel strip is conveniently packaged and it has a dirty sound that works here and there.

Can anyone tell me if Waves still uses a dongle for their plugs?

No they don't. You can use a USB device to authorize.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Speaking of Waves, the SSL 4k EV2 is fantastic. Smokes the bx SSL strips in my opinion. Nice mojo and super fast results. I'll use the cleaner SSL Channel Strip 2 for mixing if I'm simulating tracking on old colored consoles like Neve or API ahead of the SSL.

Isn't that a type of dongle?
