It's possible man, I met people who know about production softwares and even popular plugins and know about some free stuffs but have no clue how to mix or master. It's a skill man.

Great answer.

Big ass speakers

Big ass speakers and some well curved Monitors is what the average modern Consumer admires the most.

ProTools Intro isnt a plugin, never heard of Venn Audio, and the BlueCat Gain plugins have features not present in any paid software Im aware of. So that's 3 out of the several thousand plugins out there, so not yet that compelling an argument, especially when there are 'name' producers etc who have specifically namechecked free plugins. Google 'BT synthedit' if you dont believe me.

Perhaps, though, if people who can already engineer or produce have decided to pay someone to do a job, then they might want to consider trusting the decisions of the person they hired. Radical concept, huh?

They do care about using "industry standard" stuffs though because they see the big professional guys talking about them.
sounds 100% legit. do they also care about A5 Wagyu steak?

Everyone knows that the real secret is to have a bunch of rack units with lots of blinking LEDs to wow the visitors, while you do everything in the box with freebies.

Or Reaper. The OP is gushing over it in another thread. I guess $60 buys peace of mind over the efficacy of software when it comes to producers and engineers.

Reaper is actually first Choice of many Mastering - Engineers, in this case not 'free' yet still kind of a Bargain.

Lol, "never heard..." when are you going to realise that the free plugins people are aware of are not limited to the ones you know?

It's not about "name" producers name checking anything, man. It's a simple question. But I guess you somewhat answered it in the last paragraph. Thanks.

When am I going to realise something Ive known for years? Hmm, difficult one.

No, free plugins are not limited to the ones Ive heard of. They're not limited to the ones any given individual has heard of. Everyone's knowledge of which ones are free is limited. Which was my point.
Seriously, do you not understand what an 'example' is?
It's not about "name" producers name checking anything, man.
No, its about the reaction of producers and engineers to free plugins, and your generalisation that there would only be one such reaction.
It's a simple question.
Nah, your posts stink of agenda, not questioning. And you dont really seem willing to accept that (a) its not the problem you suggest and (b) things are a lot more nuanced than you present.
