My current favourite guitar FX pedals for putting synths through are:
Endorphine Ghost https://www.endorphin.es/modules/p/ghost
& Strymon Big Sky https://www.strymon.net/product/bigsky/
I also use "vintage" Yamaha FL-1 Flanger and BOSS CE3 chorus pedals. They sound great on pretty much anything.

I had some fun with Red Panda Tensor and synths, before I decided to give up on pedals and stick with plugins & Eurorack.
And then I changed my mind again. My current pedal collection:
Walrus Audio Slöer: really lovely ambient reverbs, with or without warbly woozy modulation. Despite all the reverb plugins I have, I feel like nothing quite sounds like it. It's just one big sweet spot as far as I'm concerned.
OBNE Dark Star V3: the reverb itself might not be anything to write home about, but in combination with its lo-fi granular pitch shifter, filter, and overdrive or sample rate reduction, it's pretty fun. It probably *is* something i could get close to duplicating with plugins, to be honest, but I still enjoy it.
Pedal Partners x Maneco Labs Mesmeriser: shoegaze-oriented lo-fi, dirty, distorted reverb, with a knob that slows the clock way down. It's not good for general purpose reverb, but it's extremely good in its own lane. (Actually I have two of them -- it's supposed to be stereo but my first one only worked in mono; they shipped me a second one as a replacement and it was also only in mono, and Maneco said just keep them both and now it's stereo.)

Eventide pedals. They all sound really good and you can find some of the *Factor pedals for less than $200 second-hand. My favorites are Timefactor, Pitchfactor, Space and Rose.
I also love a ton of EHX pedals. Deluxe Memory Man, ModRex, Super Pulsar, Overlord all work great with line level synths without having to use an attenuator. I really want to try their Ocean's Abyss.
I'm a big fan of Empress effects, particularly ZOIA, Echo System and Reverb.
Don't sleep on Line6 stuff. I frequently use my Helix for synths, the ToneCore pedals, and things like the DL-4 are still great as far as I'm concerned.
