I can't launch the installer for Exp Filtertable. For some reason, it won't open.

I tried downloading it several times, in case of a corrupt download, but none work.

After double-clicking the 'Exp Filtertable 1.1.1 Installer.exe' nothing happens.

Tried on latest updated Windows 11.

(Note: No warnings from Windows Defender, etc., so doubt that could be the issue).

Anyone know why?

sorry to hear that - I have similar setup, latest win11 on a nothing special machine. Only things I can think of are reboot then try again, try using right click ""run"

Definitely worth a go - image import is very powerful - can be any image, tiny, large, screenshot, whatever

Yeah, that's the first thing I tried, rebooting Windows, but no luck.

Yeah, it's a shame. Because I watched the demo videos and would likely have bought it.

But if I can't even get the installer to run, there's not much point. This has never happened for any other program on my setup, so I'm unsure of what the cause is.

Maybe Windows just doesn't like/trust the application. But if that's the case, it's not telling me, when it usually would prompt me as such, either upon download of the file or execution.

EDIT: Upon examining the properties of the file, there is a Security warning stating: "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer." With an option to "unblock" it.

Also, there was a couple entries failed upon upload of the installer to VirusTotal. Could this perhaps be a false positive? Or something else?

I got a warning but as I downloaded - the one about this file not being downloaded often - I just ignored it. I would contact the dev about it but I have had no problems so far. Malwarebytes showed nothing, but I would not trust me

Could you also upload your downloaded installer to VirusTotal, to check if you get the same results as shown in the above image?

I never received that same download prompt about infrequent downloads, which I have for other files previously. Although, upon the download completion, there did seem a bit of a pause, before the file was accessible.

Perhaps, Windows Defender was considering whether to issue the warning, or just mark the file security properties as it has done above. And for me, it chose the latter?

yeah I get a virus error as well when I send it to virustotal- I am not worried but if you are then it might be a good idea to send that info to the dev and they can check it

searching on Yomi Hunter - the only thing that flagged it as a virus - shows plenty of people saying Yomi Hunter throws up lots of false positives

That's strange. I was able to install and register it on my Windows 10 laptop and Windows 11 gaming pc.

Very cool. I feel like I'm getting back the best part of what I gave up when I switched out my Rossum Morpheus for a QPAS. Lots of complex peaks, loves modulation.

I haven't seen anything about adjusting the fft size or overlap or windowing function. Is there a "settings" tab somewhere in there?

My upgrade was £11.83 + VAT for Ultimate - no complaints from me, Ultimate was one of my best buys, I love the interesting stuff that KH keep adding and the free PP upgrades (V2 etc) are fabulous. Just a reminder that this stuff is all 2 for 1 really as it works in PP and Snapheat/Multipass. KH as a developer are right up there with UHE for me.

So true. Everybody can have different taste and even no use for kilohearts products but kilohearts is FACTUALLY an excellent developer. The number of products they have offered for free to the community, the level of support of their products, the overall quality. Everything screams top end.

I use their small tools all the time. The comb filter for intelligent stereo, the trance gate, all is great.
