Not sure if I'm reading you correctly, but if you're doing this in channel rack - you can just right click the channel button you want to copy, hit copy, then right click the channel button you want to paste to, and hit paste.

Takes less than a second. Maybe there's a quicker way but this way is fast af.

It's even faster using keyboard shortcuts.

Maybe you mean something else, but you can right-click on a knob and choose Set > X Steps. So you can set the values to 1/16 or 1/8 notes quite easily. It's just not super-intuitive, but it is covered in the manual.

I love FL's instruments but everyone's different, they've got a whole host of excellent synths that can do whatever you need/want, and their FX are awesome too.

I prefer third-party pianos and 'real' sounding drums, FL has some great stuff for electronic drums however.

Hmm, my experience with FL instruments has been pretty negative tbh.

Their sample player, for example (Sampler)... how the fk can we use that in any sensible way.
I was using it for a while, for my drums, and seriously, wtf. Those ADSR envelopes are a joke.

I ended up just inserting 10 Slicex and putting my drums in there...
Then I realised that if I wanted to audition a different sample in Slicex, adding it would remove the marker that is required to play the sample, and Slicex would just produce silence, until I manually added a marker from that tiny little icon...
So if I want to audition a bank of 200 kicks, I need to middle click the sample (to replace in Slicex), and then carefully position the mouse over this tiny icon, to place a marker at the start...
Then the same for sound 2, 3 etc.
Really?

I was always hoping that one day they would remove the marker requirement in Slicex, or failing that, copy the Slicex envelope MSEGs into Sampler, to update the Pitch / Vol env.
But neither has happened, and I have since bought Avenger and Backbone just so I can have proper drum envelopes in FL

Oh, and another thing... recently reinstalled Windows, and Kontakt isn't working(!!), so I check FLs instrument for a female choir sound that I needed, and to my surprise... nothing?
Nothing in Direct Wave or anywhere else (few nice imitations in Sakura tho)

And so... I recently had to buy Spitfire's Epic Choir because of that.

So yeah. A totally different experience for me.

I left FL-Studio for a while just because of that tiny outdated sampler.

So you've never had to scroll through a snare or clap library, trying to find one that fits the feel of the track?
Yeah... try that in Slicex. You'll give up after 10 previews.

Cool, but what the f**k is a step? A 16th? A 1/4? Yeah no thanks.
I'm sure there's a reason why they couldn't have 1/16, 1/8 like every other VST with tempo sync, but I'm not wasting my creative time on things like that.
And even if I could tolerate that, I still wouldn't have the proper MSEGs I need.

Oh, and while I'm back here... Fruity Convolver... wtf.
I spend half hour fine tuning the amp envelope to create a specific effect for a specific track.
Then I decide to try it with a different IR, and boom. Envelope resets to zero for every new IR I try.
I would love to use FL stock plugins as much as I can, but even this... I have to load up my Melda Convo, just so I can demo IRs and keep the envelopes.

Oh well... still hoping IL will integrate the Melda plugins into FL (as they own Melda now).
That would solve so many problems for me.

Yes, it's a 1/16 note, or the same as each step in the step sequencer. This is also how you'd set up a tempo-synced delay in something like Delay 2.

I get it. That's the thing. If you search the Browser for Kick, there's a hundred folders pop up. I really agree about the Mixer tracks. I had my PC slow down at one point and I saved a Project and watched the little Display header thing go through each Mixer track (even the blank ones) to Save the Project. If your PC is running smoothly, you don't even notice this. It took a second or two to plow through ALL the tracks. I also think it would help immensely with the CPU hit to the PC because it doesn't have to render extra graphics.

That's a good tip. Sometimes I need to see bpm and key info on folders though. The thing is you search for kicks and even presets come up. I did notice little things at the bottom that let you choose what to look for, but I don't think it worked that well.

Specify your search...
i.e. when I type in: "wav kick" I see only audio files... no presets...

Second: FLS has now a complete tagging system with custom tags... is for sure a lot of work but you can build your own tagged library you can see with a push of one button...
Sadly there is (still) no auto tagging like e.g. advanced Library Manager have got or Ableton lately but I think it´s just a matter of time...

Third: if you got a lot in folders and subfolders you can limit the search result to just the selected i.e. parent folder...

This way you can leave the show folder option on to see your information but it doesn´t get too crowded

Nothing perfect atm but at least useable (and far better than before)...
