Allowing V5 users to upgrade the plugins and bundles they own to V6 and offering the new V6 plugins for purchase would be the right thing to do for IK Multimedia.J Veronica wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 12:38 am Buying Max and then a week later your collection is out of date, lol.

I am not a fan of IK's marketing at all. However, I will say that people who have a lot of T-Racks5 modules should try downloading the free T-Racks 6 Intro and using the suite plugin. When I did that I found that all of my previously purchased T-Racks5 plugins were unlocked in the suite's TRacks6 module manager and I could select and use them. When I did select them and clicked on information button it was showing these modules were 2025 versions (the new TRacks 6 versions). So despite what ik has been saying, my experience is that you basically do get an upgrade on previously bought modules if you're using the intro suite plugin for TRacks6. I have since upgraded so I don't know if my personal experience was unique (maybe I was using some sort of demo trial and I just didn't know it at the time). In short, I would suggest that anybody interested in the new T-Racks 6 modules should download the intro and play around with it. Results may vary.Allowing V5 users to upgrade the plugins and bundles they own to V6 and offering the new V6 plugins for purchase would be the right thing to do for IK Multimedia.

But is T-Racks Intro a module/plugin? Like is it just hosting other T-Racks modules? Will I have access to the TR5 I previously owned as standalone plugins? If not, I wouldn't be interested.skyman88882002 wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 3:32 pmI am not a fan of IK's marketing at all. It wouldn't be so bad if the updates didn't install plugins you don don't own, I bought T-Racks 6 Max because I was a little tired of sorting through the plugs figuring out what I owned and didn't, now just a week after thinking I'd beaten the system, I'm back to having plugs installed that I don't own without any choice

The only way to win against IK is to not play their games.Digivolt wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 8:05 pmIt wouldn't be so bad if the updates didn't install plugins you don don't own, I bought T-Racks 6 Max because I was a little tired of sorting through the plugs figuring out what I owned and didn't, now just a week after thinking I'd beaten the system, I'm back to having plugs installed that I don't own without any choice

They're just plugins. Buy them if you want them, or don't. It's not that serious. You are not in an existential struggle for your soul.

Apparently you can keep the Asian small-clawed ones as pets indeed, but they need a lot of space and their daily bath.

The EQ of the Lurssen Console is the same EAR 825Q unit modeled for Lurssen EQ. The difference is the frequency bands in the Console are fixed to Lurssen's preferred settings.dblock wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 7:37 pm Opinions on if you're using both the Lurssen Console and the Lurssen EQ does it make any sense to use the EQ of the console?

Hey jamcat. I didn't know that. That is good to know. So basically if I leave the Lurssen Console eq flat and just eq'd off the Lurssen eq I'd just be replacing Lurssen's preference with my own but still using the same eq. Thanks a lot for responding!jamcat wrote: Sun Mar 23, 2025 8:30 pmThe EQ of the Lurssen Console is the same EAR 825Q unit modeled for Lurssen EQ. Correct, no upgrade. There's only the Lurssen Suite MAX that comes with both.

Stop whining! Nobody cares about your hurt feelings and dissapointment. Make music and move on.Teksonik wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 2:54 pmSo if it's not included in "T-Racks Max" then what is it included in? One assumes "Max" means all the available plugins. So will all the new modules be separate purchases not included in Max....until they are or the next inevitable promotion rolls around ?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 5:01 am It is not included in T-RackS 6 MAX. It is a new T-RackS 6 module, that shot is from the T-RackS 6 page (there is no specific T-RackS 5 MAX page). 10 new modules are available for T-RackS 6 (it doesn't say "10 new modules available in/for T-RackS 6 MAX"). And, there will be more coming. They will also likely have the text explaining that they are not included in T-RackS 6 MAX, yet will still be new modules for T-RackS 6.
Look, I love the T-Racks plugins and I respect the people who write the code for them as they obviously know what they're doing but as far as the sales and marketing department goes I honestly can not say the same. They seem to lack competence and any kind of oversight from above.
To me this is just another one of a very long line of instances where IK has either baffled or downright pissed off its user base due to marketing skullduggery.
But as the old saying goes...IK be IK'in. You learn to live with it I guess.....![]()

Lurssen Mastering Console is not and never was part of T-RackS so T-RackS 6 MAX would not be an upgrade. The new EQ is a T-RackS processor and is on intro pricing currently at half off ($/€49.99) or as mentioned there are bundles available.
As for those digs on sales and marketing at IK, I wouldn't worry about it - I could and have taken it personally when KVRians say they'd fire my colleagues and I etc but then I look at the year over year and total growth over the 15+ years I've been here and figure they might just have limited context and lack of private information that allows their emotions to cloud judgment leading to such scathing assessments and attacks on people's careers and thus wanting to affect their wellbeing. We're not perfect, we make changes and I'm sure more and more folks will be happy along the line as that is the goal and we keep our eye on that and seem to be achieving the results one would expect from the hard work of our sales & marketing team in support of the great tools our Italian team creates.Daimonicon wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 3:36 pmStop whining!
