So basicallty a dynamic eq with just inte band to catch peaks everywhere. I assime this thing must have some ideal targer curve because otherwise ts just a compressor.HOTF wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 2:07 pmA Dynamic EQ does not react to change in the frequency response you have to set frequency and a Q parameter. And without automation it will only duck the frequency region you set. Smooth operator reacts dynamically to the signal. Let's say you want to tame the fundamental of a signal. Even if the fundamental changes from 440hz to 880hz when you do an octave jump smooth operator will react accordingly and duck the fundamental no matter where it is. I hope that helps![]()

Yeah, it is a multiband compressor. And you yourself set the target curve and have a lot of control over how many bands and what they do. So it can do what is really hard to do with your standard dynamic eq or gazillion bands of multicomp. I tried to not like it. But it just does things differently, sounds differently than my dyn eq and multicomp. So I bought it.

Just a quick update:
The issue that would occasionally cause the plugin to mute until re-initialized has been fixed. You can download the update here: https://babyaud.io/downloads
We're still working on a proper v1.1, which will introduce a few new feature improvements but we wanted this fix out there first.

I don't think you can code an effect like this with zero latency.
Nevertheless, there is still a difference.
running an elektron thru it with 32ms might work out.
well, in. fact i run Piano based patches that do incloude plugins with up to 100ms latency.
Alots is doable
Thank You !

I purchased this yesterday but have heard absolutely nothing back from Baby Audio - so proof of purchase, no serial number, nothing. I also tried to set up an online account to see if I could get the info there but it asks for my email address to send me details of how to log in but I've not received an email about this either. All of this should be pretty instantaneous really. How long did it take for them to get back to you?

It’s just a code you paste into the plugin, they don’t have accounts and such. Typically the code is included in the receipt email iirc.
I think a reseller gives you a redemption code.
Anyway, keep trying they have been busy with
all the new users of this I believe.

When this happens it's most often because there's been a typo in the email address when placing the order so our emails are going to the wrong place. Can you write us at support@babyaud.io with your name / email and the rough time of your order? Then we can fix the email address on our end so you can receive the product(s).PhilF wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 4:04 pm I purchased this yesterday but have heard absolutely nothing back from Baby Audio - so proof of purchase, no serial number, nothing. I like soothe 2 as well, this is a bit more practical I think. Not as dedicated, tho I think soothe is tops at the reso suppression thing. I like, and am trying to work out buy bloom during the Oeksound sale. Their RTO is not super attractive as compared to others, so it's an up front prospect for me, getting anything from Oek. Spec Craft seems more practical too.
