Weirdly, in the end I wound up buying Simplon and One over Twin 2 and Volcano 3. Wasn't about the cost or anything, I just liked them the most. Volcano was pretty close, but in the end having UVI shade, was what worked against buying Volcano 3 for me.

I do wish Twin 3 had as many factory presets as its predecessor Twin 2 does.art&sound wrote: Sun Jun 22, 2025 11:53 pm Presets are a weak point in the FabFilter lineup. Twin could use about a thousand additional presets...
There were always many great-sounding presets, for almost any use case within the former version. imho, bManic made some of the very best presets thereof and I always appreciate his great output in many different plugins. He has a great ear and skill for designing presets which are very easily-tweakable for users thereof.
My only issue with Twin 3, is its more limited library of sounds therefore lacks a similar breadth of sounds catalogue ready and available. But the presets that are included are good quality and appreciated.
Of course, you can still access and load T2 presets into T3, although some sound quite a bit different when you do. It would be great if these could be refreshed for Twin 3 and included.
I agree that the new Fabfilter menus are a little bit janky and should be tweaked to perform a bit more intuitively and efficiently.art&sound wrote: Sun Jun 22, 2025 11:53 pm They update the preset system in Twin 3, and it's better, but still needs a little love. And, they didn't roll the new preset system into these updates, which is a bummer (even if they are small plugins without a ton of presets)
