New version released!
v1.0.4 Changes:
v1.0.4 Changes:
- New: Automatic Update Checker - The plugin now checks for updates on launch and unobtrusively notifies you if a newer version is available.
- New: Support Menu - Added a "Support" button in the top bar with direct contact info and version details.
- Fixed (Hopefully!): Addressed an issue in Studio One (CLAP) where the plugin wouldn't activate by default or handle stereo bus layouts correctly.
- UI Polish:
- Added visual labels (LP, BP, HP, BR) to the Filter Type knob so you can see exactly which mode is selected.
- Widened header buttons to fix squeezed text and updated the "Support" button styling to match the rest of the interface.
- Under the Hood: Updated to JUCE 8.0.4 and improved internal build system reliability.

I'll help test!
Windows/Mac
Reaper (primary), Bitwig, Logic(Mac), Waveform free
I'm seeing an issue with installing the latest build, even after a fresh reboot. Manually removing the CLAP worked.

Could you get back to me here and see if we can work it out?
edit: I actually got the same when I fill the postcode FIRST, but if I fill out the form top->bottom it works.

It's almost fine. The /home is still there. I would try to change `COPY_PLUGIN_AFTER_BUILD` to `FALSE`stefancrs wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 8:51 amCould you also please re-download and check the deb package again? Thank you so much!stefancrs wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 7:18 amHaha thank you, will fix!Kott wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:50 am Hello!
The deb package needs some love
VST3 bundle is in /home/runner/.vst3/ instead of /usr/lib/vst3 and there is a single library /usr/lib/vst3/Smackbox V2.so
Also you added the whole JUCE in package. If you really want to use make install and use smth like add_subdirectory(JUCE) then it should be add_subdirectory(JUCE EXCLUDE_FROM_ALL)

Hi everyone,
I've just released Smackbox V2 v1.0.6. This update focuses on workflow improvements and installer refinements across all platforms.
What's New in v1.0.6:
Installer & Platform Support
- Modular Installation (macOS & Windows): You can now select exactly which formats you want to install (VST3, AU, CLAP, or Standalone) via the installer options.
- Mac: Fixed Multi-out routing in Studio One. Fixed an issue where the "Customize" installation option was hidden.
- Windows: Fixed an installation error (Error 183) that occurred on some systems.
- Linux: Improved package compatibility.
- New Presets Button: Added a dedicated Folder Icon button to the preset bar, making it easier to find/manage your custom patches.
- No More Beta: I've officially dropped the "Beta" tag from the version label!
Let me know if something went bonkers.
Happy stomping!

The win installer is doubling the vst3 bundle dir, which is making it difficult for some DAWS. FYI... e.g. it puts the bundle "Smackbox V2.vst3" inside a folder of the same name.

FYI: Studio One 7 is having issues with multi-out when using the CLAP version. As far as I can tell, this is an issue on their end and I recommend that you use the VST3 or AU version instead if you're an S1 user.

This (minor) update focuses on fixing installer issues on Windows and polishing the UI layout.
Changelog:
- Fixed (Windows): The installer no longer creates nested VST3 directories (e.g. Smackbox V2.vst3/Smackbox V2.vst3), ensuring better compatibility with all DAWs.
- UI: Resolved an issue where "DEMO MODE" text overlapped with the version number.
- UI: Improved the positioning and sizing of the "Update Available" button in the main toolbar.
Cheers!

Hi! Just to know if developing plans would include that...thanks!lalo wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 11:34 am Great stuff! Would be great to have a Velocity->Attack modulation.
Sometimes is good to get a little slower attack on lower velocity levels (more realistic snare shuffles, retrriggered hats etc.)
