Version 8 is where I last upgraded because of the issue. If they still haven't got it right it's too bad because it's a great DAW. As you stated, it's a blast.
I mean imagine the variety of js plugins and reaper scripts that can be ported to ableton now.
I'd rather just focus on Live for what Live is and just start from scratch. Especially with A.I. assistance now, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
In fact I may just throw in the towel and say f**k it. Just upgrade, get the suite and just use Ableton to f**k around and make happy accidents. Use Reaper for serious band recordings.
