Well I thought I'd have a play around with the good ideas on this thread, so I got a simple beat and phattened it up with Supercamelphat2 (nice name , Ben :hihi: )

Here is the raw beat:

Raw beat

And here is the beat with camelphat distortion, compression etc

Camelphatted Beat

And I had a mess about with the filter on camelphat and got this cool 'shouty' effect:

Camelphatted beat #2

Pretty cool, methinks, I think I might have to turn this into a tune 8)

Jim

Yeah CamelPhatPro is real nice!

but try to squeez in some other elements under that drumloop aswell

its clipping heavy!!
please be realistic m8 :hihi:
no offence meant

i understand what you are trying to tell with this!
next time check your levels or try a limiter after the squeezing.

a big phat drum comp is very easy to make on it own, the hard part is combining elements to form a compound..

but you can surley call this BIG BEATS! :D
make a tune out of them...

now, of the course, the countdown seems to have 'reached its zero climax'...
nice track mate. For some reason I'm reminded of Bentley Rhythm Ace which doesn't happen that often....

thanks Kris

and there may be something in that...

"Formed in 1997 and fronted by Colin Owens, Surreal Madrid’s Life began with their first (and only) home demo which immediately tantalised the tastebuds of underground breaks label Fused & Bruised, who offered them a two-single deal, and Bentley Rhythm Ace who got in on the act by inviting Surreal Madrid onto their chaotically sold-out Autumn tour that year."

:hihi:
