I personally have the following partitions:
C for system (about 10GB)
D for data (libraries, finished projects, backups, etc) (as much as you can aford in GB)
E for audio the present projects (about 10GB).
Its a very good idea to test the speed of every partition and see which one is the fastest so you can do audio on it. I noticed that C (the first partition) tends to be the fastest one so I placed E right near it (on the HDD) and D (for data) the last one.
I find followed the advices I found on this subject in Future Music mag (januaty 2004 issue) and now this works just fine for me.

What is a AMD SEMPRON. Is this like AMD answer to centino? If not is it any good. Seems like a cheap laptop at AU1298.00.
