sorry, didnt mean to offend or cause any sort of loss in revenue!! I'm just saying what ive heard people talk about on the evil internet lately lol

had a listen to the plugin and it sounds nice as a special effects thing, but lacks a certain realism other expensive reverbs have.. The delays seem to be too audible rather than a natural non-linear sounding reverb (some shit like that).. Still a very usable tool though :)

Very good reverb, very low CPU but it's still far from the UAD and Poco reverbs.
Considering it's relatively high price you are probably better of geting one of the DSP cards mentioned above.
I would also prefer the Princeton over the R66 for my needs, even thou it's a one trick pony.

Bottom line if it was priced at $150 it would be a hot plug ..... group buy anyone?

$295 is way to much. I would opt for the PoCo instead.

Totally agree. The reverb is ok, but not a high quality one (listen to the hall presets with long tails).
Therefore it is too expensive. There are some nice presets though.

I miss my money printing press *lol*...very big price, but good quality of this plug...cu

and this is relevant how? I don't belive that just becuase the DSP cards have lot's of plugin power to them, they "magically" sound better...heck, an impulse reverb like pristince space or whatever could be far better than the UAD and Poco reverbs no?

Well I don't want to start an argument cause it's pointless but Impulse Reverbs are a "work around" not a "solution" to reverb quest on PC's.

Given the choice between the two I am sure everybody would choose the real thing not the "snap shot taker".

My comment is very relevant at this price range.
For an extra $50 you can get a great reverb that runs on it's own DSP chip with close to zero CPU usage. (hey you can run 8 of them simultaniously with no visible tax on the CPU)
And as a bonus you get a bunch of other great plugs to play with.
It's a no brainer.
Why would anybody use anything else.

I have yet to hear a native verb that sounds anywhere near as beautiful as UAD's Plate 140 - or their Realverb, for that matter.
CPU savings or not. The sound is just better and has more character to me. Just my opinion. 8)

Maybe some of you remember the original Alesis MidiVerb box.

Well aaanyway, when that thing first came out it was amazing how many high profile studios had those things in their racks. You would walk in and there would be all this Lex and Eventide stuff...and then there would be this MidiVerb thingy, happy as you please, right in there among them. And they were actually used in tracks, especially one particular short room, as I recall. It had a particular trashy sound that worked rather well in a mix, but to me always sounded a bit like ass on it's own.

Upshot of this is simply to point out that often times there's truly good things to be had from the most humble and unassuming source.

You see...you can still love the one your with, and make some really brilliant music.

i agree for irs of hardware-reverbs with modulation and other things, which don't sound natural but are nice on their own(lexicon), but for real rooms and spaces, there is nothing better today than irs. if you like real rooms, irs smoke every hardware-reverb.

What a perversely twisted statement that is. :)

The real thing comes from recording a sound in a real environment, not from using a piece of hardware or a plugin. Guess what? The convolution processors actually make use of recordings taken in real spaces (if you want them to.)

What you are calling the "real thing", is simply an engineer's attempt to synthesize his concept of the real thing. It's not even something taken directly from a real space. That said, you might well prefer the non-convolution reverb, but I certainly wouldn't think of calling it the "real thing." :)

take care,
McLilith
