Meffy, you must write a book too, you're a storyteller. (Maybe we write one together in the future).Meffy wrote:herodotus: My not-too-distant ancestors would have frowned upon mayo made using anything but bird eggs they'd stolen themselves. That was back before the engineers got hold of our genetic line, of course. Not that the old ways haven't their validity...
Klemperer: "Eier" -- what's in there besides eggs? =o.O=
I think her EIERLIKÖR was with
( in german, err)
8 große Eigelb (the yellow of an egg, yolk?)
500 g Puderzucker (icing sugar)
2 Päckchen Vanillinzucker (vanilla sugar)
3 kleine Dosen Kondensmilch ( 10%) (bah)
0,75 l Weinbrand ( 38% ) cognac
50 g Alkohol ( 96% ) pure alcohol
1 Tasse Rum ( 54% ) yo hoo hoo and a bottle of...
Mix all that 5 minutes, put it in a bottle and give it to the people in your house as they pay the rent.
So basically Sickle's Mayonnaise with Alcohol, at least that was how it tasted like (arrgghh).

Good to know some are still around.
What do you feed on? (besides mayo, of course)

pHz: You can't talk about my best friend pHz that way! I challenge you to a duel. No, wait, you lack the obvious natural weapon, so I challenge you to a game of House Rules Parcheesi!!!

Americans don't duel.Klemperer wrote:Duel is great. You surely have a story about duels in your family, Meffy.
That's a barbaric European practice.
Americans have people shot.

I remember one Woody Allen film where they did that. Or tried. (Boris Gruchenko; played in Russia though, but I won't let my argument be killed.)herodotus wrote:Americans don't duel.Klemperer wrote:Duel is great. You surely have a story about duels in your family, Meffy.

What a short memory you have for being the father of history. You forget the Hamilton-Burr affair, not to mention the demise of Stephen Decatur, and the Ric Flair of affairs of honor, Old Hickory himslef, General(he insisted on that title and not Mr President)Andrew Jackson, who was in at least 2 duels I can think of.herodotus wrote:Americans don't duel.Klemperer wrote:Duel is great.
