doug is wrong about ST1 authorization...I loaded it from an old CM CD onto my new PC and had no problem obtaining a authorization from IK

Not a Kontakt user, but I believe all these romplers that use NI for the player utilise the NKI format, which does open in Kontakt...progfusion74 wrote:Kompakt player .. does that mean I can use the samples in Kontakt?

That is my understanding as well. Hopefully they did not change that for this special version.xylyx wrote:Not a Kontakt user, but I believe all these romplers that use NI for the player utilise the NKI format, which does open in Kontakt...progfusion74 wrote:Kompakt player .. does that mean I can use the samples in Kontakt?

That's good news, but I am thinking of people that have said otherwise. I'm glad it works!Karma_tba wrote:doug is wrong about ST1 authorization...I loaded it from an old CM CD onto my new PC and had no problem obtaining a authorization from IK

I know its unfair to compare a free Rompler to costly ones, but how do the instruments of real samples compare to, say, Sonic/k Synth 1 and 2, and Sampletank 1 and 2?progfusion74 wrote:Thanks a ton. Just played a little bit. Love the little bugger. Those Kyma samples are just great!!!

I get it at a Micro Center computer store in Chicago ($15/issue). They don't always have it - they did not get it for two months in 2005 already.J_Starner wrote:Anybody know where I can get the mag here in the States?

Okay, I'm really late into this - but I stumbled across a copy of CM86 at the store today, and soon as I saw Scot's name for this Session romp - I had to buy it. But, I can't seem to install/run the damn thing now? I take it the serial # is on the back of the DVD right? And it goes through the whole loading business fine right up to FINISH, but then comes this jackass Registration form business? 4-5 different options, and I just go for 'Register Now'.... Page Can Not Be Displayed...Try it again, and I get through to NI - Internal Server Error... WTF!
So I figure I'll just try it out, and register it later. But it doesn't work!
So do I really need to register this thing before I can even try it?

scot, cm session is awesome. i love the patches. for the price of the magazine you can't beat it. btw, would you happen to have any sample set leftovers from cm sessions? i mean, those that didn't make it or fit the cm session library.
be part of the solution, not the problem

It's strange. I really didn't like CM Session much at all. I might have to go over it again, but I thought there were some bad tuning problems in some of the guitars and I just can't remember being impressed with any of the "natural" instruments.
I'm not sure about the synths as I never looked at them.
I thought it was odd at the time because I really like Scot's stuff usually - he's a god and a gentleman.
Maybe I'll have another look at it and see if I was having a bad week or something.

There's certainly tuning problems in the "STPIANO" preset.Caleb wrote:It's strange. I really didn't like CM Session much at all. On the question of where to buy CM....I get it at Borders, but they don't get it all the time as well. Time to subscribe!
