I still say onepingonly and team collaboration contests would be awesome

You betcha. Hallowed tradition. :D

So what can we expect to see out on the track this month, punters? Let's take a quick look at the form guide:
The kvr bookie wrote:Treat it like a free-for-all: 3 to 2
Competent but impersonal clone of commercial music: 2 to 1
Ironic/sarcastic/parody: 5 to 1
Defiant anti-commercial backlash entry: 10 to 1
Genuine unironic, inspired radio-friendly hit: 30 to 1 (Where's Resonance when you need him? :hihi:)
Beethoven's 5th on kazoo: 67 to 1
Is the esteemed Mr Friedman in the mood for an alternative contest this month? :help:

And when we vote, do we vote for the track we think most likely to be a chart-buster, or the track we think most displays musical competence, originality and which we like the most? They are, in the end, two completely different things.
Time is an illusion - lunchtime doubly so.

as ever vote subjectively based on whatever criteria YOU want to apply ...

relevance to theme
technical competence
creativity / originality
production values
whatever

(no-one ever claimed it was a scientific process)

I like the Beethoven's 5th on Kazoo.

I was looking for the tabs for Pink FLoyd's Atom Heart Mother once, and the guy who put the tabs out there said he was doing it in 8 minutes now, with an acoustic guitar and a kazoo!!!

2 minutes is a bit short for both Beethoven and Pink Floyd covers, though. I'm still thinking... What's that thinking cap Gyro Gearloose puts on? The one with the ravens in it? That one.
