OH yeah, I forgot about Sweetboy! His stuff is excellent - I use Volcano all the time.

Obertone Filterbank...that link didn't work on their website, curious - anyone got that?

I really like the graphic EQ in the SH1 pack - can't find the link now.

And one of my favourite synths is Maestro by Istvan Kaldor...

Both of these are freebies.

Great thread! I think the SonitusFX effects suite now sold by Cakewalk (http://store.yahoo.com/cakewalkdirect2/sonitus.html) are simply fabulous. They're a bit expensive, but if you need all the basics they deliver. Super high quality sound, easy to operate, stable, and very low CPU usage. They are available in a bundle, or as individual plugins. Plus if you're a registered Sonar user, call Cakewalk's sales department to hook up a fantastic upgrade deal on the full version (the bundled version is DXi only).

i just took a listen to kong audio percussion mp3...very cool. i wonder how much they are charging, and how many different percussion instruments are included? of course its probably listed on the site but i neither read the language nor have the correct fonts installed on my machine.

of course, as soon as stormdrum shows up, i think i'll have plenty of new percussion samples to keep me occupied for a little while.

oh yeah...and another one to add to the 'not yet listed at kvr' list: slapclap by slapmeister. noteable for being possibly the first (if not one of the few) pornographic vstis.
