the us won't go for that chick he's producing anymore than they went for peaches or princess superstar, if all she's going to do is be an Eminet, trust me she's as done as joss stone already

you got it wrong, she is no princess superstar or peaches. she is more witty and intelligent. i noticed that when she was a hot head 17 year old spitting on mix shows.
she has skills and that is one thing the US will support, a funny, edgy, pull no punches white female rapper's time has come. you'll see. mark my words, this time next year.

Lady J - that sounds interesting. I'm a little sceptical however about the success a white, female MC will have. Although Eminem seems to have success with anything he involves himself with, in the past female MC's have not been that successful. Missy is definately an exception, but then she's also a talented singer and songwriter and basically admits her songs are all about having fun, etc. The only female MC I can think of that's had success without going way back in old-school is MC Lyte. To me, she's one of the most talented MC's ever (male or female) but she didn't share the same type of success as LL, Will Smith or even KRS-One.

i gotta agree she'll get credit for skills no matter who
she is but if the other half of that coin is just skin color it'll just be another sad day, I've often thought that if Eminem would just be himself he would've been 10 times bigger, but that's just me I also think prince would sell more records than he ever has if he came out with a straight up 4piece/ or 3piece band with no keyboards, no computers, and no drummachines/samplers, just accoustic drums/ bass, guit, and him on vocals in or out of tune........
hey check back at the link i leave in this thread tomorrow morning (its 530 pm california time) right now,
you will be amazed at the video you see.

I don't really like prince, but a guy I knew once played me a bootleg tape of prince jamming at an after show party or something - playing blues & stuff - I could not believe it was prince, it was live in your face absolute class.stale bread wrote: I also think prince would sell more records than he ever has if he came out with a straight up 4piece/ or 3piece band with no keyboards, no computers, and no drummachines/samplers, just accoustic drums/ bass, guit, and him on vocals in or out of tune........
I started giving Prince some props after that.

Early 20s? I thought he was acting like a 13 year old.Stupid American Pig wrote:yeah he had been alot less "eminem like" lately. I guess when yer 33 acting like yer in yer early 20s doesnt make as much sense anymore...
Hell, I assumed he *was* in his 20s, acting like a teenager.

At least he's tossing in the hat now, instead of trying to milk it for all it's worth. That's the way to go out. Throw in the towel when the fire dies. So many celebrities fail to do that. I have to say he's put out some good stuff and some pure crap. But he's definitely got style and creativity.

Does this mean Eminem is switching to a different "GENUS" of 'music'? (I'm using his own word there.)

Yes, check the Touch magazine Jan 2002 issue i think...whichever one had her on the cover. In it she mentions me by name. We went our separate ways of course but i still consider her a friend and will help her if she ever needs it over here.Jonny X wrote:Lady J did you really producer her?
I think that female MCs get pushed about a little bit - look at Tali, a lot of talent - little appreciation...
London pirate radio helped build both of us and i thank her for helping me with that. Pity her crew held her back then. Oh well.
