Sounds good Andrew... thanks for getting it out to us slightly earlyGalbanum wrote:New manual will go live on Friday together with updated web listing... this is a soft/ramp-up launch, as we did not want to make existing users wait anymore... There is a URL/link in the installer pointing the manual, so all you need to do is click on that in a few days and you will have the updated manual...Congrats... looking really nice Andrew... is there any new (PDF) documentation available or did I miss it in the download? Smile
new customers have to wait until Friday for full info and demo's etc...

Wow ! 1.5.0 is sure sounding nice !!! Works great on OS X 10.6.3 with Hauptwerk theatre pipe organ samples tested so far. (http://www.hauptwerk.com (http://www.hauptwerk.com)) I'm hosting Aether in AU Lab with Jack OS X to do the audio routing for live playing. 24-bit 48kHz.This sure will create a buzz in the virtual pipe organ groups when they hear the new Aether in action.

Thank you for the email, but most importantly for the tremendous amount of work you have put into this update, Andrew and Denis. I'm very excited to play with this "baby".
There are many of us who have been waiting for this day and now finally we can enjoy the result of months of your hard work. It's really great of you to give this for free to existing customers. Am I glad I joined the group buy last year.

Hey Andrew just a quick question, i "think" iv lost some presets, well mainly 1.
i loved "Trance 1", am i correct in saying it has been replaced by "Trance synth 1"? i think it slightly varies, old projects open up as "undefined" in the preset browser. other then that sounds good as ever not yet delved into the new features yet and love the granular fx pre's

I renamed a few of the original presets for more consistency yes.
We have another surprise in this area too coming in a few days as mentioned in the email...

Amazing sound!!!
Testing it right now and I must say I'm really pleased with this update. Really lively and unobtrusive when you want it too.
It doesn't wash my sound like some others do. And most of all it is one of the most musical and non-sterile reverb I heard. Can't wait for the manual.

Thanks for all the work Andrew. I am running OSX 10.6.3 and using Digital Performer 7.11.
Aether 1.5 would not load and failed the examination process in DP 7.11.
I tested it in Garage band, which I don't really use, and it works there. It also loaded into Soundtrack Pro V 3.0.1 from the Final Cut Studio Suite, and works there as well.
DP is my main audio/music tool, so hopefully there will be an update, or a work around to address this soon. Thanks..

Wow! I was reading the readme and I was dying to hear this stuff! But unfortunately under W7-64 bit the setup.exe starts and dies. It appears briefly in Task Manager, and then it's gone. I've tried "Run as admministrator" but that's not working either. BTW: in the properties the version still reads 1,0,0,2.
Can I install it manually? Or does the installer do additional mojo?

Have you tried different compatibility settings? You shouldn't have to use them, but it's worth a try. It installed fine here with Win7 64-bit, so I know it can work.Breeze wrote:Wow! I've had programs do this before, though it's been a while and wasn't in Win7. I forget what the solution was, but maybe you could even try running it from a different location or doing a restart. Maybe it got stuck in the system cache or something like that and won't start until it's removed? Hard to say.
