Mr. Me - Ack.... that one line "a little bit crazy" keeps bringing me to the remix You TM did with this vocal. I love what you did in the modulating flanged vocal track in here and the single hits happening when the vocal is not using this FX. Erm, am I making sense here? Very minimalistic, surfing on a great bass and produced very well....
Havran - I'm flying high here... What great moving and evolving pads you combined here. It's a shame that one of the pads in the beginning seems to not be stepless, or perhaps that was intentional? Very daring piece to enter an ambient EPIC in a two minute contest where these sorta tracks usually last 10+ minutes.... Very alive!
Purna - Had a listen to your first entry before I put this one on, which was quite a good one... #2: There is a medieval background on this track somehow which brings something unique to this tune. I guess it lies a bit in the harpsi-chord kinda sounds and the sequence in which they are played. Would have loved it if the bass had come out more to the front with a deeper cut. When this kicks in with the drums in the second half it makes for a very unique song... Now get in gear man, and join monthly, you got some good things under the hood
. Production wise this could have been mixed better but the learning path you are climbing is going in the right direction.
Markleford - Wow! a classical approach. I am finding myself too checking the cello sounds more often. There is a warmth in there that tugs at something deeper inside.... I am waaaay impressed here. I listened to Two of Twelve too, and I can see the development here. Keep going on this path. I am enjoying this much... Beautiful full sound with lots of warmth.
flyingsquirrelofdeath - A real shame that you went over the time-limit here, as this is one heck of a song... Great drones, super didgerido sounds, wonderful flute. Giving it a great lively sense. Loving the Absynth sounds in here. Please post more
TennesseeVic - it felt so much as if the ride was so present in this song that it distracted my ears too much from the great song that lies underneath this. I had the idea that the timing of the ride wasn't correct here either (as if it were a tad too late on every hit). Soft and oozing jazz-guitar and that bass is just mellow-schmellow... Very soothing Vic
Col G. - This is fun....That banjo you got running in there brings a big smile. I think you could have deepened that bass a bit more to spread it with the other sounds. The wobbly synth you start out with sounds quite cool... Try dancing on it: you won't feel the cold anymore
Liqih - You always bring something new to the contest, and every time you surprise me with it too. In a good sense that is. I just love what you did with the hobo-ish sound here. Lot of portamento and great envelopes on it so it seems. That plinky-ish sounds running throughout left to right give for a great balance to this hobo. Cool droney sounds used for the bass here
Tancos - Fark, and all this in two minutes

Nuissance Sonores - You always have those in here who just trod off the common paths and use 127 kbs

OMalley - at first I had something like, ehhhhhh whats with the long phone samples. But then the real fun started. Wow I am loving the beats and groove here. Cool cutting of the samples you did here, where the slowing down was a great touch. I think the guitar could have used some layered sound to bring it out more, it sits there a bit shy. Some kind of arpy sound to answer the guitar eg. Cool introduction to the contest OMalley!
jebudas - Welcome to the KvR contest with I must say quite the promising tune. Although fitting to the tune I would have hoped on a bit more song evolving, bringing in a bit more instrumentation. I enjoyed listening to your voice...
Dr. ApostropheX - That is some great sounding brass you got there. Cool voice you have and I loved the lyrics you wrote as they brought a smile on this sunny morning. That piano-riff halfway was funky. Great voice mangling there in the second half. I always have to think back to Farmer Joe, a tune I will never forget. This 'family'-tune will stick with me too I think
Thomasc_dk - Wow... when this one evolves into fullness there is quite the great production coming to surface.... I would rename this more into 'Frenzy' rather then 'Frenchy'. Cool groovey sample you got there, great ending to it too...
Emerald Tablet - huh? how could a version with vocals make a bigger file? A darn gone shame though as you have a great voice. Anyhow, still you provide for some great music here. Loved how you mangled the piano to make it sound so good! Cool droneys there too. And heck yeah... it makes me happy listening to this.
Emil-a-man - Metal!!!! Mental!!!! Very intriguing voice you have there. Though not a great metal-fan I can appreciate this tune very much. I felt the drums a bit drowning in the guitar though, it could have used a bit more punctuation. Cool lyrics though, vampires rule the earth!!!!
Vurt - You did it!!! Incredible I must say as bringing down a Vurt-tune in under two mins seems impossible but you did it. Loved the cello-ish strings in here. Cool sample-mangling there in the ending... Very full sound!
TabSel - Sorry to hear the sad story, but like you said it oft leaves us musicians with enough food to create some heart-tugging music. The way you cut the ending short felt as if the emotions becoming too much for you. I would really want to suggest that you'd work on this one more.. Very smooth jazzy feel that can be worked out more, loved the wah-guitar in here, did you live record that yourself? Keep expressing yourself!

Help there are three ogg files in this month's contest that I cannot play in MusicMatch, Audition or Sonar. Is there another player besides winamp that plays' oggies.

i encoded the track with vocals in 128 Kbit
the one with vocals was 600 kb bigger which made it to big
i didn`t want to encode it in a lower rate so i posted the clean track.

Maybe it'll work, but I think it's a little awkward. If no one officially knows who you voted for, then honorable mentions are irrelevant. I don't mean to be harsh (because I liked the honorable mention idea - it's a bit of solace when you know you have to be so narrowly specific with your votes).
Maybe it would be better to vote for a higher number of top-ranked entries (like 10 or 15) but only award prizes to the top 3 or 5. The rest are all runners-up.
