The hostility is about calling them "a new plugin format". Actually, they are just reason racks, made by others rather than by propellerhead. Calling them "plugins" as if they were vst is something misleading. We will NEVER see omnisphere, alchemy, kontakt, reaktor, zebra etc. in RE format, luckely. VST is the standard for plugins, and that is more than enough: unity is what musicians need, not a new so-called "plugin format" every now and then... besides, for what REs offer, they are too expensive.fceramic wrote:@stroker-ace
The beta RE SDK-kit was released to a select few developers to have products ready for launch. Right now Props are making huge changes to it after getting the needed feedback from developers, so it's basically still a beta product in many ways. Have no idea why there's so much unreasonable hostility here at KVR. REs been out for barely a month and already have 25 products from lots of different developers and a store that works reasonably well. Can't expect new technology and products to be perfect at launch. That's not how it works in the software industry. If there's certain things you don't like about it stop ranting in these threads and just send a request to Props or write in their Feature Suggestion forum.

People sell stuff all The time. The more product you have out there, the more people will sell their copy... Because more people have it. It just works that way. Selling something doesn't necessarily make it good or bad. It's up to both the seller and the buyer if it's worth it.
