The granular engine with multiple grain streams is now at the same level as Padshop & Halion?
Or you may say it’s even more powerful & good sounding?

I might jump on the bandwagon for this one!
I already wrote this somewhere in this thread, it's almost up to par with H5 now, I still slightly prefer Halion due to longer grain times and some other things, but granular in Falcon is really good now.

I have question about scripting. On the official Falcon page is written:
Don't know anything about scripting? Don't worry, Falcon has a built-in visual editor for creating fully customized macro-driven interfaces
1. Is there some screenshots for visual editor, and can I create my own synth with this editor?

2. If no, it is possible create own synth with Falcon scripts? If yes own wavetable synth is possible to code? :)

3. If I know right, Falcon is modular, that means I can use in one patch many osc, modulator, effect modules as I wish? For example 16x different oscilators, 20xmodulators and etc.. in one patch?

Post

1. It's in the manual (INFO section, also Appendix A > Modulations > Macros). RTFM ;)

2. Yes.

3. Yes.

3: you can use different synthesis types per keygroup, or even per velocity layer - or setup keyswitchable patches with different synths assigned to each switch, or a wavetable synth with 20 different tables assigned to 20 keyswitches and so on....it never stops.

Does it have a lot of...punch?

I didn´t found a clear answer in the manual about a few things i would like to know.

1. Can i modulate with audio rate and can i use any OSC as modulation source?

2. Can i go deeper than just modulate a modulator. I want f.e. modulate a modulator which modulates a modulated modulator etc. Or modulate this way just parts of a modulator :D
Most software is not very flexible here. (Still searching for something for desktop which can things like i can do with my tiny iPhone synth Mitosynth)

3. Can i use as many LFO, MSEG etc. like i want or is there a limit?

4. Do i really need Falcon? :D :D :D

Simon do your existing MachFive libraries work perfectly in this?

Absolutely!

apologies if these questions have already been answered...

has a crossgrade price from Machfive been officially ruled out ?

is this the end of Machfive ? or at least, UVI's development of Machfive ?

1. No, during Alpha I begged for an input in the FM synth for using samples as FM modulators, not possible.

2. Yes, you can go as deep as your brain can follow.

3. Yes, like in Alchemy. Also you can use the arp per layer, as many layers as you like, Alchemy 2 allows for 4 arps in 4 sources.

4. Who cares :tu:

Sounds like Tone2 stuff? D'oh!!! That's not what I want to hear because I really don't like the sound of Tone2 stuff at all....and I've spent good time demoing all their instruments. There is just something about the sound that turns me off for some reason that can be hard to put into words. I really wish Falcon had a demo. Since it is iLok protected, you would think that a timed demo wouldn't be that difficult to release. Simon's contribution though, gives me hope for Falcon. :tu:
